Excellent demo, thank you. A good friend of mine just gave me the beat buddy and pedal, im looking forward to practicing with this. Thanks again for a great display on how it functions.
Can it be turned on and off without removing it from a pedalboard? Does it have to be on to pass a guitar signal? Other loopers seem to make it difficult and the only way to turn them off is to remove them from the signal chain which is very annoying for my setup. Thanks in advance for answering this.

Loved your dad’s music . His voice and delivery are so unique. Day’s Gone Bye❤️Roller Coaster Weekend had some really good songs on it. Just bought my BB2 today. I hope my unit does not have a glitch? I heard a shrill sound in place of a beat a few times but I am just getting used to it(10 mins). Hopefully it will warm up or something. I would hate to send it back. Song was ok.
Thanks man, I need to cancel my other order on another drum machine and hopefully that'll happen, then I can order this one and great tune as well.! I'm a Brazilian jazz guitar composer myself.
The BB MINI 2 plays a variety beats at any tempo. This means you can jam with the pedal any of your favorite songs. Feel free to email us at support@singularsound.com for any further questions.
My question is, what will you do when you have a set of 10-15 songs performance and you have to change the pattern or the tempo or both. How do you do it while performing, and the pedal is on the floor.
Hey there, we highly recommend looking into our full size BeatBuddy for when you are doing live performances so you can create a playlist that you can use as your setlist for the beats you are going to use for your set. You can use the Footswitch+ as a tao tempo to change the tempo hands-free. If you want to change the pattern, you just hold down the BeatBuddy switch to change to the next song part on any beat.
How to balance and keep each style at the same volume? because each style has high dynamic volumes for some styles and low for others.... for example, I connect my beatbuddy mini 2 directly to the soundboard... I use the ROCK style, I adjust the volume.... but when I change it to FUNK or BLUES the volume is lower and interferes with the performance when playing live... because I'm using it in bars and events with voice and guitar.
I read a lot of comments about the beat not being right, Well I have to tell the complainers that there is a Tempo knob on the right side of the the Mini, where you can adjust the time your self, I have over 700 songs, where I have put in the tempo my self, from Buddy Holly To Merle Haggard, It took sometime But it works great.
Nice move, I got how it worked after about a minute and a half of your song. Not bashing, seriously complimenting you on your strategy. That said, thank you, I was on the fence about this beat buddy 2, but you convinced me. You got a new subscriber.
Hello SS! Great demo. I'm very interested in this product. My question is: is the pedal programmable? i.e. my band plays 2 set lists of 15 songs. Sometimes our drummer can't make it to a rehearsal or gig. So can you program 30 different beats / tempos, name them and easily dial them up? If not, what type of product can do that? Thank you!
Well here's what I'm going to do tell me if you think this will work because I can't find anybody asking the question I'm getting ready to ask but before I ask the question here's what I'm going to do I already have two Looper pedals so what I'm going to do is take the beatbuddy Mini 2 plug in a Looper and then plug it into a amplifier then on my other amplifier I'll have my guitar going through another Looper I hit the beatbuddy to start the drumbeat and when I feel comfortable I'll tap on that Looper which will record only the drums then once I get the drums exactly the way I want them I can rehearse my guitar over and over till I get the Sound I like then Luke the guitar once I do that I have the micro USB to plug into a 4-track recorder and upload the loop drum track which is the beatbuddy Mini 2 and the Looper that has the guitars what do you think about my idea
Been using it and finally got around to seeing what others are doing..i mostly doing acoustic solo and am introducing it as filler in between songs..lets you get in the mood for the next song..throw in something different..i still find it a lil cheesy but people bob thier head more when its used..it definitely changes the room I've noticed..I'll be playing some bluegrass and go into an r&b beat..people are like whaaat??
I just discovered this item today and was wondering if it’s possible to run this into a Headrush FRFR Cab (or any other modeler cab), so that I could use one cab for a Drum PA/Guitar cab? Example, guitar to board to cab. Add BBM2 to cab. I could then set the BBM2 next to the board and then have a full on rhythm setup without adding more speakers. Any reason why that wouldn’t work?
Hi again S.S. - My main question is as follows, please: I don't want a Complete Collection or Groove Monkee type pack (because they do not contain genres of which I would use with my duo). There is a link (within the Beat Buddy site) which says "Don’t want the bundle? Click here to shop individual packs". If you follow this link it will take you to a page which contains drum-patters I AM interested in purchasing. These are, specifically: ALL Funk, Latin, Brazilian Perc., Jazz/Swing, Odd Time Sigs. However, it seems to be only the drum KITS, rather than the actual groves?! Otherwise, it appears the only other option is to purchase drum-beats in the STYLE of 100's of different Pop/Rock artists, which is not what I'm looking for to be honest. I hope I have explained my question OK for you. Thanks, Paul
Hi Paul, thanks for this question. You have the option to download the "Drum Beats" and the "Drum Sets". There are two different things. You can go to "Products" menu and select only what you want to download. The regular BeatBuddy allows you to change the drum set sound to any beat to combine beats with different drum kits.
@@SingularSoundOfficial OK, thanks a lot. Would you be able to kindly link me to the Product page you reference, please? I'm not sure I navigated correctly when I tried earlier. Cheers, Paul
Hey Ben, when comparing GarageBand to the BeatBuddy Mini 2, the main benefits for the mini is that you can completely control where your drums are headed live with your foot while you play your instrument. This adds an element of creativity that isn't possible with GarageBand.
Yep! There are various metronomes for different time signatures, check out this list of all content included: singularsound-publicly-downloadable.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/ListofBBsongs.pdf
I'm thinking I can put this into a separate loop, like the EHX Tri Parallel, and record into my looper pedal.Or, use it the way he's using it, and it won't be affected by my other pedals?
We do not re recommend to record the drums into a looper since you have double audio signal and you'll not get the main benefits of the pedal main functions. We'll recommend to look a the regular BB which has MIDI capabilities to sync with MIDI devices such as loopers and effects.
@@SingularSoundOfficial Yeah, I already bought the Mini 2. I couldn't really afford to get both. I just ordered the Looper. I have another drum machine that has midi, that I might hook up. I just have to move some things around, since I have very limited space. Thanks!
Hi, I was wondering if Bead Buddy could come up with Beats / percussions like The Indian Tabla, Punjabi Dhol some native original Beats or a Indian drums pack... ?

You can edit the existing beats or make your own using the BB Manager. Feel free to email us at support@singularsound.com and we'd be happy to help you finding the correct beat for you.
@@SingularSoundOfficial Thanks your reply ~ I secured a good deal on a new BeatBuddy & footswitch, its streets ahead of the mini and mini 2, there is no comparison, i have even managed to download new beats and drumkits. My advice to anyone considering the mini or mini 2 is to save a bit more and get the BeatBuddy.
3 questions, first I am not very tech savvy when it comes to this, how easy is it to get the hang of? Is there a lot to computer work to setup? Second, can it be used with other pedals, like a looper, or distortion pedal?
Hey there, the MINI 2 is plug in and play! Very straightforward. The Mini does not have the MIDI capabilities of its big brother the BeatBuddy, so you cannot pair it with a looper like the BB. Also the Mini2 content is limited to the default content, you cannot update it's content or firmware like you can with the BeatBuddy.
Hey there, unfortunately the BB Mini2 is limited to content that it has on it, and in the order/folder hierarchy it comes with. The big brother, the BeatBuddy, has the ability to connect to the computer via USB or using the included SD card, once connected you can use the BBM (BeatBuddy Manager) to edit the songs themselves (the beats, fills, sections etc) and also create setlists for easy song selection when using the footswitch+ for hands free song changing (not included)
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I keep reading that you have to pay 250GBP to be able to access the full library of patterns? And that the manufacturer has deliberately pre-installed only a limited amount of accompaniments so as to force you into an after-sales corner!
Hi! Thanks for the comment. The BeatBuddy MINI 2 comes with 220+ beats in different genres as default. With the regular BeatBuddy, you can add/edit all of the content using the BB Manager. We sell additional beats and drumset sounds on our BB Library Collection.
@@monsterjazzlicks yes! You can use the USB port or use the Sd-card included with the unit. You can export your project from the BB Manager to the card with all the changes.
The regular BeatBuddy has significant advantages over the mini. You can add/edit the beats and change the drum sounds to any of the MIDI beats. Also, the regular BeatBuddy has MIDI capabilities which will allow you to sync more pedals such is loopers and effects, and true stereo 24bit quality sound.
Hey, thanks for your question, Both the BeatBuddy and BeatBuddy MINI 2 offer the same core functionality and default content. There are however 3 key differences. First, the BeatBuddy MINI 2 can’t load any additional content like the BeatBuddy can. Second, the MINI 2 utilizes 16-bit sound vs the BeatBuddy’s 24-bit sound. Finally, there is no MIDI functionality in the BeatBuddy MINI 2. If you want to start controlling a beat live, hands free, right out of the box with no programming necessary, the BeatBuddy MINI 2 is the easiest drum machine you’ll ever get.

If you want to start controlling a beat live, hands free, right out of the box with no programming necessary, the BeatBuddy MINI 2 is the easiest drum machine you’ll ever get.
great video and song, I had to play along on bass!
Thank you Jack and awesome!😁
can you put your own patterns in it?
The regular BeatBuddy allows you to add/edit the content using the BB Manager.
I’m assuming your dad is THE Joe Vitale that played with CSN? If so how ironic that you would be promoting a drummer in a box. Good vid!
🙂🙂
Beats the shit out of any other drum computer I've used, buddy!
Thanks for the kind words! Make sure to check the regular BeatBuddy ;)
Yes I beat my buddy regularly!
Can this play Hard Bop Free Jazz?
Hey Henry, check out this list of all the default content that comes on the BeatBuddy Mini 2: singularsound-publicly-downloadable.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/manuals/List+BB+Default+Song+List.pdf
The biggest problem I have is waiting for my order for the foot pedal that was in early December. Was told it would ship and then told it will ship January 7th and now I’m being told January 16 or 17th. Very disappointed indeed.
Hi Gene, we're sorry to hear you're disappointed. We had some issues with some orders with USPS due to COVID19 and this is why we have change the shipping carrier to UPS to all future orders.
Love the song. GOD blessn rock on
Seems like you could program all of that in a step.
