Tough loss. Celtucs must learn to ho downhill. At crunch time.. tatum especially. They havevto learn to win. When the shots are not falling way to many tgrees .

It's their coach fault by implying mostly to shoot 3's even if they are not falling..they have open lane to drive but instead they still kick it out for a 3..and I hat hate it so much when their coach design a play in close game always on Tatum hands..he is not a clutch shooter..Boston has so many players to rely on in crucial moments..I most definitely design a play for white or kp in crunch time..they r more reliable and calm and makes those last $econds shot..mazzulalla is so dumb to always trust Tatum or brown in taking shots in last shots to win or tie a game....he is so terrible of doing it always..I'm more confident on dw or kp to take a last shot when it mattered most...coz both jt and jb can't delivered in such moment

@@diosdadobaniaga7741I agree with you about d white and KP being the ones who need those last shots in clutch /buzzer beater situations. Giannis is the best player on the bucks but they still give Dame the ball for the game winner 99% of the time because he is clutch and Giannis is not. There’s no shame in that… we need to take full advantage of the skillset of all the different guys on the roster.
I think mazzulla is a great coach and I don’t see the 3s as the main problem in this match. When the game is fast paced for the first 3 quarters I’m loving the shot selection and the quick reads they make, whether it’s generating a solid look from 3 or opening up driving lanes for layups/dunks. The problem is, once the game slows down in clutch time against a great team like Denver, their approach and shot selection has to change. When the nuggets need to seal a close game they typically put jokic in the post for some low risk buckets rather than speeding things up hunting uncontested shots from distance. The Celtics can do the exact same thing with porzingis or the jays. That’s how you grind out a W in competitive matches like this when it matters most-not just depending on these 50/50 type shots going in.
I don’t know if mazzulla is to blame for Tatum almost always being the one they go to in the last few possessions but that’s gotta change. Of course Tatum can improve in this area and it’s good practice, but like you said we already have Derrick and KP. I like so many things about the coaching this year and clearly a lot of the adjustments have worked. I think joe has the right mindset and intellect for the job, and his insight has helped them get away from most of their bad habits from prior seasons. I could make a long list of ways he’s successfully tweaked things for this group. His rotations have been rock solid. I admit that there needs to be an improvement in how he approaches late game tactics and calling plays

It is it because they were the better team, and sometimes you gotta say no to those threes and do the downhill to the basket because it was there, and if you didn’t get the basket you got the free throws. I don’t know if the coach tells him this but if he doesn’t there’s something wrong

I could be wrong but I suspect thos coach does NOT tell them that if anything he tells them the opposite - Mazulla is the most overrated coach in the league - one dimensional analytics robot coach. Thank God his players are smarter than he is. Sometimes they just figure it out for themselves but they also listen to their coach. I think Joe should take himself out of the game at endgames in close ones and sub in Lee and Cassell. Now THAT would be a great coaching move

@@Heizen_CookzzBut what he does in the post works beautifully for the nuggets in these close game crunch time situations… it’s basically the entire reason they came away with a win and a major reason why the nuggets have won such tough series to make it out the west last year.
The Celtics should learn from that-they need to be able to generate those low risk buckets you can depend on to grind out a win in those last few possessions.
The way jokic plays may be ugly but in competitive games when it’s down to the wire, you need someone who can seal the deal in a gritty fashion like he does.
