Hello, fellow Earthling! I really appreciate your videos. You helped me decide to NOT get an external mic for simple gaming. All the time I spent watching your vids & pontificating on low price vs quality vs features gave my brain room I have an old gaming headset laying around. You also look great with the weight loss. Cheers!
It looks like an okay mic for Zoom meetings, but the Samsung Go mic sounds better and is less expensive. My $40 computer speakers had too much crunch/maybe clipping with the electric guitar.
Yeeey! Podcastage didn't fall again And good rewiew he made. I hope that his stability Brings us a new abilities. 😊 How I could I wrote. Don't judge, please 😅.
Have you reviewed the Razer Kraken V3 Pro? It's $205 and it's the worst quality headset I've ever had the displeasure of owning. One of my earphones broke off from the headset after I dropped it on my carpet while sitting down... the microphone sounds worse than the free one-ear headset included with an Xbox. It's the biggest waste of $200 ever.
You'd assume 20 years was enough time to improve upon the snowball but I guess price tags are still the limitation :) Yeah it sounds better objectively but that doesn't say much lol
I like a mic that disappears. This one makes it sound like you're on the other side of the bulletproof glass with a mask on. Thanks for the warning. ⚠️
Yeah. On the pop punk style distorted demo (in the supplemental test), it kind of sounded like one of those typical lo-fi-ish intros. Then when the full band kicks in you get the full frequency range and it provides a sense of resolution.
Great review as usual! Any chance of reviewing the Fifine AM8? The sound at least for streaming is surprisingly good for the price. I have it and it's my favorite of the mics I own so far for streaming.
It must be said that two of these microphones can be thrown a long distance with great accuracy. In a club-size venue, I would be comfortable standing at FOH mixer asking my stage person to “send it on out”. Time is valuable.
GYorb; everyone will end up calling it a Gyorb. The noise rejection was impressive! Tripod is bad; we should never need a stack of books to have it be listenable. The lack of a headphone jack was crazy - why would they think that's useful? Did it come with a car lighter cable expecting people to put this on a dashboard for driving recordings? It would be wiser to save the extra $50 and get a Rode USB Mini, and the Rode mic desktop stand ($35) is brilliant. I have two now since you spruiked the Gator Switches - life changers those gadgets. Gyorbs are a hard pass. Thanks for the review! (my dollar costs are AUD)
4 days ago, my samson go mic arrived and im so happy with it. I was only 23 Euros on amazon. I dont need the mic since i use a sm7db or a nt1 5th gen, but its sooo good for its price :). Love it.
I always come for the mic comparisons, but stay for the songs. Bandrew, you've got some of the best music I've heard, even if they're just about wanting pizza
While they are not USB I think having the SM57 or SM58 or maybe better still because of the price, the Behringer XM8500 for sound comparison would be good for some beginners who might not be all that familiar with mics in general to help them get an idea of what is going on sonically.
For sure. That's what I'd be going with for my money. But I don't want any of Logitech's processing. If someone wants or needs that gate, eq, compressor, etc. the Samson doesn't offer that.
Theyve turned blue into those crummy mics you used to get with your beige/white pc in the early 90s. All plastic. Sounds… mmm ok at best. Fine for speech. But overall, a toy. I picked up an old RCA mic the other day… when mics were mics. You could kill someone with the weight and metal used. Built literally like tanks and sometimes the same color lol. I was gonna do a history of blue mics but i had sad endings.
The reviews you make are excellent! I always stay to see them until the end even when you review microphones as bad as these haha. Thanks to your reviews I discovered some very good microphones at ridiculous prices! If we were neighbors I would invite you to eat one of the pizzas I make at home. Greetings and thanks for the reviews!
In the USB mic space I don't think there's a lot of value in the $40-$99 price range. The Samson GoMic is great at $40 and the next real quality difference is probably up to a large diaphragm mic like the 2020usb or Sennheiser profile. Unless there's a specific feature or form factor you're looking for go small, or save up for the AT, RODE NT1, or even the Presonus Revelator.
Nice, consistent review as always! I've seen that you reviewed many mics from different brands, but it would be interesting to see your take on DPA, like their DPA 2028 handheld microphone. There are barely any reviews for it and DPA seems to make some of the highest quality mics out there.
Can you review the fifine am8 and maono pd200x please 🙏. I've seen many reviews, but I just want your opinion on both of these microphones, I love your videos btw...very professional and full of information
While logitech were giving us very little for the money, I'm impressed they also managed to deliver it with a deformed plastic band. It kind of sets the tone for the rest of the experience. Why just why. I'm old enough to remember when Logi gave us keyboards that worked for years and years until you spilled a drink over them. Their golden years. Not sure if it's my ears but after processing by youtube and my huawei tablet the sound felt even worse than you described. Meh on most things, but boy did it hate the electric guitar. I struggle to hear nuance in your reviews (I need to sort out headphones) and am probably tone deaf, but the electric segment made *me* wince. So many mics seem to come with these micro stands that serve no purpose. Its doubly ironic as the small cardioid pattern on this is one of its few strengths. It needs to be near the mouth, so the user would need their seat on the lowest setting (or lower!). At UK prices the Siren Mini is cheaper, the Samson Q2U isn't too much of a budget stretch and gives you XLR too. At the right discount the Fifine and Maono offerings probably give a better overall tool unless the Blue's Ghost software processing is the deciding factor. Q: I'm assuming the Blue processing is all on the PC with no dsp in the mic?
The only issue with the Samson Go last time I played with mine, was oh neat a MINI USB TYPE B cable, not a MICRO, A MINI. Let me whip out my PSP cable assortment. OH wait, I lied, I don't have those anymore.
The mic is not much or at all different from the GX, I bought it thinking of returning it but the blue voice software is not bad. Feels like a more expensive microphone, sound quality is good.
You are a master at being tactful. Do you ever have a vision of perhaps a highly condensed alternate version for long term subscribers? You come on screen with the item and the box. You show the box and toss it, you show the item close up, and you say up to four words and give a long term subscriber score ranging from three thumbs up to three thumbs down. 15 seconds of content followed by 60 seconds of credits.
From what I see and hear I would say this: If you are just looking for a microphone for Zoom calls it would be great. If you are looking for something more, something like the Samson C01U and Q2U would be better.
On the Orb, a resounding "meh." On your music, I am holding my lighter in the air. Bandrew, do you post your music on spotify or some other site? You write some really nice stuff. I absolutely wanna hear more.
I'm impressed with your review! It's so accurate! I'm looking for a stream microphone that stays at a distance of about 1 meter, it's difficult to find one as there are many options!

Whoever at Logitech approved of killing Blue, releasing terrible products, and name /rename everything with "Yeti" should be fired
calling the logitech headsets "with Blue mic technology" but it sounds like arse. Definitely should be fired.
Don´t forget the designs. They are so terribly horrible compared to Blue´s original design. Hope they bring back the Blue design team

Blue Microphones are dead. Long live Blue Microphones.

😊 How I could I wrote. Don't judge, please 😅.
A video on least silibant mics would be nice!
Really liked the song in this one
My cat’s gonna love it!
please review baifei li mics :)
We’re waiting for Sony c80’s review
Check out the Maono PD400X

I'll take a USB-powered BM-800 mic over a pricey plastic ball anyday.
You didn't practice before you threw out that box today 😂
I support pizza
Yeah Logitech sucks hard..
Got it for $25 in India where products are usually 30% costlier than us
Wow no perceivable difference between a $40 mic and a 3700 mic ....incredible
I love how your box throws have gotten progressively aggressive over the years.
a few more years and he will be using a catapult
I always appreciate the consistency of your reviews.

esta horrible :v

My pleasure kind sir. Thank you so much.
So... It's a rebranded snowball (logi owns blue)
But with worse build lol
That sounded *interestingly poopy* on electric guitar! Might be fun as a color to include in a mix.
Yeah. On the pop punk style distorted demo (in the supplemental test), it kind of sounded like one of those typical lo-fi-ish intros. Then when the full band kicks in you get the full frequency range and it provides a sense of resolution.
It just looks like a big grey tennis ball...

Your musicianship has improved dramatically over the years. I'm impressed!
I'm glad it doesn't sound as thin as it's uncle the Snowball, but it still has some of the same acoustic qualities.
4 days ago, my samson go mic arrived and im so happy with it. I was only 23 Euros on amazon. I dont need the mic since i use a sm7db or a nt1 5th gen, but its sooo good for its price :). Love it.
for the budget mic i think no difference for the sound quality
Please 🍕 Bring 🍕 Pizza 🍕 Pronto 🍕
I always come for the mic comparisons, but stay for the songs. Bandrew, you've got some of the best music I've heard, even if they're just about wanting pizza
Logitech really dropped the ball by discontinuing Blue.
The good old snowball sounds much better in my opinion
4:37 Nice input level

I actually did like that Samson in comparison. A bit damning perhaps?
For sure. That's what I'd be going with for my money. But I don't want any of Logitech's processing. If someone wants or needs that gate, eq, compressor, etc. the Samson doesn't offer that.

I really felt that song about pizza.

Big respect for your in-depth review on the microphone, and great effort, deserves a subscribe!
I really appreciate that, thanks for watching.
As a Windows user I've found usb mics often a bit lacking in gain - it sounds like this goes overboard to address that!
Nice, consistent review as always! I've seen that you reviewed many mics from different brands, but it would be interesting to see your take on DPA, like their DPA 2028 handheld microphone. There are barely any reviews for it and DPA seems to make some of the highest quality mics out there.
No headphone jack, all plastic, I’ll pass
Can you please review the Fifine AM8?
I like how the old Yeti is in background. Shame they both suck... To no one surprise!
Iiiiiiiits meh!
I was at Best Buy and I picked this up, it was so light and cheap feeling lol. I thought it was newer version snowball.
Can you review the fifine am8 and maono pd200x please 🙏. I've seen many reviews, but I just want your opinion on both of these microphones, I love your videos btw...very professional and full of information
Logitech peaked with the yeti and now they're going through a mid-life crisis
picked one up for $19.99 Clearance and pretty dang good,
I’ve never been unsold on a microphone before even hearing it… well except for maybe the Behringer BS2020
Where's Blue gone?
I hope you get to test the Logitech G Yeti Studio as well
Oh man how Blue has fallen. I had no idea it had come to this
Another thing!
HOLY S**T YOUR VOCALS ON THE MUSIC TEST SENT SHIVERS DOWN MY SPINES OVER HOW BEAUTIFUL IT WAS! T_T
Yeti is now from Logitech??
They bought Blue back in 2018, so it has been for a while.
love the microphone test
Bro you sound the same on all these mics 😭

This was an amazing video, thank you ❤

Hello, great review! Could you recommend a good/cheap mic which would sound fine and wouldn't pick up desk vibrations?
Blue snowball is leagues better
On the Orb, a resounding "meh." On your music, I am holding my lighter in the air. Bandrew, do you post your music on spotify or some other site? You write some really nice stuff. I absolutely wanna hear more.
The Orb is better than the Snowball, but still I think the Razer Seiren Mini sounds better.
I'm impressed with your review! It's so accurate! I'm looking for a stream microphone that stays at a distance of about 1 meter, it's difficult to find one as there are many options!
Hmm..very, very interesting...but I have just one question. Does it come with a baseball bat?
Looks like hot garbage
Do you know what type of pop filter that I can use for the yeti orb? Because when I speak into my microphone, I get this loud static/pop for a second.
If you can, please review the SE Electronics T2, there's no reviews online for it or many of SE's mics unfortunately
What do u think is yeti orb is better > than blue yeti x ? I bought blue yeti x few days ago ;( but now i hear this guitar and it feels co nice
I'm looking forward to the comparison with the U87. Heh.
Thank you for doing the music test
You’re welcome. Thanks for watching.
cheating dead huh! you get to stay in your chair for another microphone more... man you are awesome!
Will you be reviewing Fifine's new products? Like the AM8 and Tank3
wow, really nice song! :D
Nice video brou.
Thank you very much. I appreciate you checking it out.
Help should I go with solo cast or the yeti orb
I'm gonna make a corrective IR for it, I'll post it in the server
USB, RGB, Plastic. I'll pass.
Totally.
But RGB makes it go faster!
No sticker to top it off?!
$60 for plastic built.
I have it it is worth it
Will you be doing any musical instrument recording in the future?
God, the music part made my night, I totally forgot about the mic
Well ...at least it's got a usb c port
Yeti orb ia this like a blue snowball?
Bought this since I have a few Ghub accessories which pair up nicely altogether and plus anything is better than a headphone mic
Hope it works well for ya.
w review xd the guitars sound increddddible :D
Sigh! Hard pass.
Just 2% gain?
I like the song!
Good mic.
I think at the $150 price point I really like the elgato wave mic. Made with input from Lewitt, sounds great.
