I think because of it's age, POC was one of the original rides built with the park when it first opened. I'm not too sure how much truth is in the rumor though. They replaced Mr. Toad's Wild Ride and that was another classic that opened with the park.

Have been on this ride twice once when i was 7, and once when in '98 when i was 18 on a senior band trip, im going deaf so tried to listen to it now but failed, cant make it out. me and and the folks if everything goes to plan will be headed to Florida for Disney again in January. It goes without saying this classic ride is one of the best and beloved rides, Cant wait to ride it again, Glad i was a musician and have a photographic memory with music as i still remember what it sounds like, drink up, me hearties Yo Ho! ⛵⛵⛵
Last time I was on this ride (in Paris) I didn't remember there was a drop (last time I was there I was 7), so when I saw the tunnel with the ceiling on fire, I wasn't expecting the drop. Won't lie, I loved it with passion.
It's funny, I'm used to going on this just after lunch. I guess it's because me and my family always start our day at Tomorrowland, so I think that as we go counter-clockwise around the park we always reach it around 3pm.
I don't usually get on this ride first, because there's a bunch of other great ride on the way from Main Street to Adventureland (at least in Disneyland Paris :p), BUT i just can't miss it ! I love water dark rides, and espacially this one ! :D

One of my favorite rides in Disney parks 😊. I was scared of it when I was younger bc of the drop but I rode it again and it’s so nostalgic and is now one of my favorite rides

Im hearing this it's 4 am I'm crying cause I always loved this ride so much I can just smell the water and how cold but fresh it was the last time I was there was my gradnite I miss it so much 😔😭😢

If I had infinite money I would go to Disneyland every day. That’s my favorite place :)
