Noticed how he talks about J.K.Rowling... not about her huge success, not about the fact that her books became top-hit movies but about her character and her struggle. He's a true gentleman who apprecieates the real people and the real values of a person. He's one of the most amazing actors out there.
He was so sweet to share his deep appreciation for Jo Rowling at the end of the interview. It really shows the tender-hearted man beneath the costume. I'd give anything to sit by a fire with some hot tea, & to have a deep intellectual discussion with him about my favorite books, plays, & movies. I'd be interested in his points of view on them. I think it would be a very interesting, fun conversation.
He seems to be a thoughtful and kind man, introspective about his work but not impressed with himself. I get the feeling he didn't understand how so many of us women went crazy for him, which makes him even more attractive.
Alan has a really beautiful smile. It's sad to see how the journalist ends the interview. Alan was saying something moving about J.K. Rowling and instead of asking a last question on a more general subject or saying a conclusion, the journalist just seemed to say "goodbye, see you" And if you take a good look at Alan's face, he's as surprised (and maybe a little disappointed,too ) as we are... Gggrrrr
