I wonder if the nozzle dispensing end is actually reducing the bubbles by potentially compressing and breaking them since the diameter is so much smaller than where the foam gets created? I have seen another video where the end of the foam wand is completely open, and they used 2 screws to hold the stainless steel scrubbies in place.

did you try a "Y" connector rather than a Tee? The compressed air would then help to aspirate the foam solution from the sprayer. Nice Video! Thanks for sharing Doug

Am I right in thinking that aircrete holds heat better than firebricks? Is that the point of making them?
Thanks. Yes, Aircrete has great thermal mass qualities. I'm looking to combine Aircrete with a castable refractory mix to produce the ultimate pizza oven structure.

Apart from it being a cool thing to have at parties, do you find they taste significantly better than a typical pizza stone in an oven (which is how I do mine)?
I do love the smokiness of barbecued food which is my main interest in making one. Also, as a coeliac, anything that can be done to make a gluten free base taste better is a bonus!
@@isyt1 The difference in taste and texture between a wood fired pizza oven bakes pizza and one baked on a pizza stone in the oven is light years apart. There is just no way of replicating the cooking environment of a wood fired oven in a conventional oven. Also, it's the theatre of cooking the pizza in the wood fired oven at a family BBQ that makes the whole experience special. We also use our pizza oven as a garden fireplace. It's a great backdrop when you just want to chill in the garden after a long day at work !!

No you don't
I did not find the Y with the ball valve would it be okay to use one without ? What pressure (PSI) would be appropriate for this build ?
You can add separate valves for each line before the Y. About 60 to 90psi is sufficient to produce a nice workable foam.

I just bought a sprayer bottle from lidl. I paid £10 and it came with a pressure gauge.
Have you developed your final aircrete formula yet?
Not yet, still experimenting. Waiting for a bag of expanded ceramic clay beads to be delivered.
so your method doesnt require a water pump huh? i wonder why that is. thanks i actually had a similar idea before coming here. god bless
I've seen the water pump systems but I figured the extra expense wasn't needed for this small project kit.
