Just FYI - the aircraft you were on was an Aer Lingus plane but they bought 2 second hand from Qatar Airways. That's why the seats were different.
The plane you are on is 1 of 3 ex Qatar frames that Aer Lingus aquired. One has a normal Aer Lingus interior (EI-GEY) and the other two EI-EIK and EIL (your on 1 of the 2 here) are to be refitted this winter with a whole new cabin and in flight entertainment systems.
Thats good to know as we love the airline but not the plane in comparison to their state-of-the-art planes they are flying. both pilots out and back said this plane was acquired in partnership with British Airways.

Aer Lingus, BA, Iberia and Level are owned by IAG. Qatar Airways is a part owner of IAG.
Business class on the normal EI A330s is a lot superior to the one in your video. But when these two are upgraded this winter they'll supposedly be better than the rest. 🙂

The airplane you flew in ,we had that also I believe it belong to QATAR Airlines, not as nice as AERLINGUS planes & there is always technical troubles with that plane anwyay

It’s not a British Airways plane, BA don’t have any A330’s. Aer Lingus and British Airways are owned by the same parent company
Our Aer Lingus pilot confused it then because that is exactly what he said .
Nice update but this aircraft is and always has belonged to Aer Lingus so they bluffed you off with that one, shame on the crew lol. Still better than economy at the right price point.
