I just saw the show in Los Angeles. A star is born in Katerina McCrimmon. She is absolutely phenomenal. The whole cast is so talented. The choreography is the best ive seen in a Broadway show . Actually this was the best musical production ive ever seen. Katerina has the best voice for this commanding role. Bravo Katerina.
I’m going to the Philadelphia show in July with my daughters. My dear Mother loved Funny Girl. I grew up with it. I want my grown daughters to see this with me, in memory of my dear Mother. I’m going to tear through out, lol.
Saw this production at Kennedy Center. Katerina was amazing. Melissa Manchester was also delightful.
Ahmanson Theater, Los Angeles last week. One of the best shows, top three; 35 year+ season ticket holder. Thank you for bringing Funny Girl to LA.
I have seen the show today at Orpheum Theater Broadway San Francisco. She is superb! a star!
I just saw this last night and she was fabulous
I just saw the show in Costa Mesa today! The new Fanny is a standout. But Melissa Manchester steals the show in terms of delivering verbal humor! Three viewings of the movie payed off! I like a classic musical almost as I do with contemporary titles!
Saw it a few hours ago at Ahmanson Theater, Los Angeles with Fanny understudy Hanna Shankman -- absolutely terrific! Great tap dancing, Melissa Manchester, Eileen T'Kaye... Long live Broadway
I saw this show on broadway in February, and it was so worth it, I nearly cried after the show, the whole cast was incredible, and it if the show comes to a city near you, I definitely recommend!
Saw her last night in Memphis Tn and she is fabulous along with the rest of the troop! Greatest show I’ve seen in years! 😀
I saw it also in Memphis
I hate that Melissa Manchester was not there
Her understudy was great but sure missed her
Just saw her tonight at The Fisher Theatre! Absolutely phenomenal!
I am going this Friday in Minneapolis at the Orpheum. Soooo excited! ❤
Update: It was spectacular. I was blown away by the entire cast. Huge congrats and brava to Ms. Katerina McCrimmon. Her voice is like butta, she's oozing with moxie and chutzpah. I hope to see her again in the future.
saw it opening night in Providence- and it is an amazingly talented tour!
Same!!
I said the entire time, find new talent! Putting evil people like LM in positions of power is the worst thing you can do. There is TONS of talent out there and we need new stars! Excellent work Katerina!
After baring through the first 3 seasons of Glee, I see what you mean. Lea’s singing voice is the only saving grace of hers.
Saw her at Joes pub for Azul she’s gonna knock it out of the park can’t wait to see her in Dallas. Y’all ant ready.
Kennedy Center today, amazing!
Great interview! I've been hearing incredible reviews. Can't wait to see her in November! 🎤🎶
I like how the “why should you tell Fanny’s story” question = “why should you tell Fannys story after lying about being Jewish during the audition process” ☠️
Maybe she didn't lie maybe she was the right person for the job. Maybe you are a racist. Oops a cuban girl was the best person to play a Jewish character!
@@GusParera Racist against goyim? lol
@@LotusDecember Racism: the unfair treatment of people who belong to a different race. Works both ways.
get over it cause NOBODY CARES ABOUT THAT- an actress doing a role- brilliantly
she's an actress- it's a role MOVE ON HATER!
It's uncomfortable seeing a non-Jewish person play a real historical Jewish woman whose Judaism plays such a big part in the role.
I am so sick of people saying that her Judaism plays such a big role in the show. It doesn't! Not ONE LINE in the libretto talks about Judaism. The Fanny Brice in Funny Girl is much more connected to her Brooklyn roots than Jewish ones.
@@williesullivan3985Rat-Tat-Tat-Tat…
Also, again, she existed in the real world. And she was Jewish. If they want to cast someone who isn’t Jewish they should cut that song, I’ve seen so many people talk about how uncomfortable it makes them to witness.
not uncomfortable for me- THE AUDIENCE!!!!
NOT a person in the audience had a ounce of discomfort!
@LotusDecember And just how do you know she's not Jewish? Are you part of her family?
She’s totally wrong for this part which is about a Jewish girl from Brooklyn. A lot of people have great voices. I hope they find a replacement by the time this gets to the Northeast.
she's brilliant
You’re really bitter huh.
She was BRILLIANT!
Saw it today and she is outstanding! Her voice is jaw-dropping. Literally.
@@nicolematheny2762you must be in Greenville. She was amazing.
Katerina is an amazing performer but I had to walk out because I was incredibly uncomfortable with seeing a Non-Jewish actress basically perform a minstrel act with the yiddish accent and all the exaggerated yiddish-isms and theres nothing more disturbing seeing so many people validate such a genuinely offensive casting
