You think this will work well with today’s newest games? Like Dead Island 2, Assassin’s creed Mirage, The Last of Us Part 1 remake. Because with my old laptop, it won’t load The Last of us Part 1 because of graphics issues. And my old laptop is like RTX 1040 or 1050 I think. 😂
1080p gaming is sort of okay with the 2070 Super I'd say, but with rtx off. You may use DLSS for higher resolutions. Overall it'd be fine, provided that it is substantially cheaper (on a deal or something) than the recent offerings.

Although I don't have it now, I have played many games on it, and I can confidently say that it is pretty good for 1080p gaming (without ray tracing). Performance with ray tracing on is a totally different proposition altogether, and even the RTX 3080 can have a tough time in ray tracing without DLSS. So if you are getting it for cheap, then go for it.
@@vixixv9358 It's kinda okay. The only problem is that, this laptop has a 10th Gen Intel CPU inside, which is getting old nowadays, and can be a problem in couple of years down the road. But if you only want to do gaming, then it's ok, 10th gen is decent for gaming performance. But for things like video editing etc, it is not great. See if you can find an 11th gen Intel CPU with a 3070, should be possible under 1300$.
First boot into the BIOS, press F7 and look for the setting 'CPU Voltage Configuration'. Click on it, enable core voltage offset configuration, and then type your desired offset value in there. Thats it. Let me know if you face any problems.
I didn't have this laptop for long, as I had discovered that the touchpad was slightly bulging from one side, and unfortunately there were no stocks back then for replacement, so I had to return it. But I can say for sure, it's a great laptop.
@@guy-was-taken Yes, webcam was included in the box. It can do 1080p@60fps provided you've good lighting conditions. I did ask others about the touchpad, and their unit was just fine. So mine was probably a one off unit with this problem.
Oh sure. A 2070 Super 115W gives the 3060 130W a run for its money, and also 2070 Super features 8gigs of VRAM too, compared to 6gigs on 3060. The Zephyrus S15 also features the MUX switch, and has a thin and light profile. So yeah, it is future proof and is good enough to last more than just a couple of years lol. Let me know if you need any more information, happy to help.
Nice question. I tested this aspect thoroughly and found that the impact was minimal in most cases. And after undervolting the CPU, the resulting uplift in efficiency was more than enough to offset that impact. I have included Battlefield 5 footage at the end (around 8:10 mark) which is a CPU intensive game and can expose such bottlenecks easily, and it can be seen that GPU utilization was great, indicating that the CPU is strong enough even at 35W to keep up with the 2070 Super GPU. Do check out the gameplay, and closely observe the cpu frequencies and gpu utilization. Hope it helps :) 35W is the sweet spot between performance and thermals, and you only start losing performance at around 25W or so.
It kinda slowed down the discharge rate as far as I remember. Tried the 20W charger bundled with oneplus 6. I guess modern chargers should fare better, given the higher power ratings.

Amazon still has stocks for this s15. And Flipkart recently updated price to 1.74, and then set it back to 1.32 lakhs. So I am guessing, some activities are going on behind the scenes, pretty sure it will get restocked in the upcoming sale.

Ey bro, i have the same laptop but whit rtx 2080 super max q and when I play the temps of the gpu are over 85c,
You can lower the CPU power limit and try undervolting. See if it makes a difference, let me know.
