    Love my 2008 RSV. Had it for 10 years. Has got to be the most comfortable riding bike there is.

    I bought a 2005 this spring...... and after 5 months.... I love it. If you are looking for a metric bagger..... here it is. And they are inexpensive too.... for what they are.

    So based on your reviews of this bike, I just bought one of these. 2009 with 30 K miles. I also have a Goldwing that I like...but its not comfortable on longer rides due to not being able to put hi way pegs on it. ( i have them but with the flat engine they aren’t comfortable )
    I just rode the Yamaha from Wyoming to Great Falls Mt then to Prescott Az. I averaged about 40 MPG running 75-80 on the interstates. By Idaho Falls traffic was running 90 MPH, and not liking to be passed by traffic I easily kept up with traffic.
    South of Pocatello I went SE and took the back roads to Escalante, Knab, Page, and then to Prescott. Back roads 60 -65 MPH easily 45 MPG. The large fuel tank was a life saver because there were a lot of gas stops 120 - 140 miles apart. GPS wasn’t accurate b/c at one time some of the small towns had gas, but now are ghost towns.
    The bike is very smooth, and for the weight has adequate power. I LOVE the 6 speed over drive. At 65 MPH the bike feels like it is just idling down the road. It’s a heavy bike...and the center of Gravity is higher than a Goldwing or a HD. Sharp tight parking lot type corners will get ya if you aren’t careful.....especially if not paved. The only thing I don’t like is that its sparse on lights in the back. My first mod will be a rear Ishtar kit of some sort for better visibility from behind.
    I was impressed when Knab to Page the temp was about 100 F. The bike never missed a beat. I was concerned about vapor locking and such, but the bike did better than I did !!!
    So all in all....you did a great job on the reviews for this bike.

    I have a 1984 Venture Royale, with 273,000 miles. It's no longer as pretty as that one but runs just as well. Great bikes, and a lot more power than you would expect from a 1200-1300cc range. Side note. If you made tank straps sooner, it would still look as good ;)

    I think if you check a little more you will find out 4th is an overdrive and 5th is a double overdrive to help milage.

    Windshields are huge on the RSVs..... I am 6'-1", and had to cut 5-1/2" off to get a little more wind. Stock Road King mufflers sound amazing on this bike.

      There are many examples of these bikes with well over 200k trouble free miles on them. Basic maintenance and consumables like brakes, tires, plugs, lubricants ..

    I know this is an old video but i really like this bike, Im 6-4 and it seems tall guy friendly, like my old c90 boulevard, and powerful like my old 2005 vulcan 2000 BUT I'm kind of iffy about the carbureted engine, so also looking at goldwing f6b but used f6b's are much more expensive, would you still recommend this in 2022?

      @MrChaiguy 2 года назад +1

      Carbs are great as long as you either keep riding the bike or properly store it for winter. I've never had an issue with a carbed bike as long as it was properly tuned from the start and didn't sit. Let them sit and you're going to have problems though.

    Royal Star Midnight Ventures are black. What distinguishes them from the other colored RSV's are its extra chrome (i.e. forks, switch housings, etc.). Great bikes by the way. I rode a 2005 RSMV for 10 years. It was more comfortable than my current Harley touring bike. It's a 4 speed with a "true" overdrive.

    Hey guys, I'm looking for a good bike that will fit my 6'4" 200 lb frame. We love shorter trips and just cruising around; no cross country trips. Comfort and leg room and of course low maintenance is what I'm looking for..... thoughts would be appreciated

    Stock seat you can ride hundreds of miles amd just stop for gas. Best undrrsted bike you can buy for cheap used. Paid 3800 for 39k miles. Ive drove it a few times 600 miles at a time. Its ao comfortable its crazy. I use a 12v adapter for stero to blue tooth phone music to system. Alot of people change the sterei. Its a waste of time. 15dollar converter works well

    • @kman-mi7su
      @kman-mi7su Год назад +1

      What converter did you use? I just bought a 2000 Venture with 9000 miles on it for 4800.00. The thing is basically a showroom new 23-year-old bike. It was hardly ridden and garage kept its whole life by the original owner.
