- VK Pandian Today News: Following the defeat of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) in the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Odisha, party chief Naveen Patnaik’s close aide, V K Pandian, announced his resignation from active politics on Sunday. Pandian has stayed out of the public eye since the BJD's loss and did not join the Chief Minister at Raj Bhavan on June 5 to submit the resignation, nor did he attend the meeting with BJD leaders at Naveen Niwas.
