I have a Cannon G7020 and it worked. I got to the setting a little differently, via the LCD, but I did this exact same reset and it corrected the issues. Thank you

This worked great, BUT, make sure you do the test pattern first. I had printed one from the printer maintenance screen so I skipped it and went right to the cleaning process. The printer went into an error mode that took some doing to get out of. I then did the whole process and it worked great. Thank you!
The problem happens if there are air gaps in the ink tubes. This process solves it an cleans the head of the printer. You can do it without any computer commands.
Follow my method 1. Press setting button 2. Press the + set to 10 3. Press the colour start button Wait 10 minutes . Once flushing done Insert paper , press the setting button , press colour start button Then you can see all the colours have been fixed.
If these suggestions didn’t work, this may: In Word, go to print in the left drop down option, under your specific printer button, choose “printer properties” choose top right tab “maintenance”…DOUBLE click “deep cleaning” and/or “system clean” (I had to do each a couple of times with test pages in between)…eventually it cleared. Good luck and thanks to the other ideas that led me to a solution.
Look what i did was there is a button above screen in printer press it and use + two times to make it to 3 and then press colour it is for deep cleaning. I myself have faced this issue and above method works very well

Thank you! This fixed the issue on my ink tank Maxify GX5050 printer. Just held the cancel button for a few seconds and it started to pump ink into the print head. All the tubes were dried up before and this process put ink from the tanks to the tubes into the print head.

This works perfectly. Thank you very much brother. By the way I'm using G2000 and my problem turned out to be blocked ink, which was due to my printer placed inside living room that has strong air conditioner. So yeah I wouldn't suggest placing your printer inside somewhere cold.
Interesting. It is almost midwinter here in Aotearoa New Zealand, and the printer live in a cold room. Jamie's advice fixed my problem, but maybe the cold caused it?
