I've been planning my primary build around one of these since the first demo released by Haltech. It looks outstanding, and with our friend Andy involved, I'm definitely optimistic.
Just to clarify about the onboard logging: Since the specs were originally released, it is now more flexible. It now supports 5 groups of channels, with each group having its own sample rate (maximum 1kHz), and I think each group can have up to 100 channels if I remember correctly. This means that you can reduce memory usage by logging most channels at a lower rate and only use the 1kHz rate for channels where it's worthwhile. Also, it has loop-logging, so you never have to clear the memory when it's full.
If you have hundreds of channels, then going through and setting the rate for every single one would be a pain. In the real world, 5 rates is plenty and makes it easier to set up.

Yes sir! New to Zac, not to the industry and he's specifically talking about the fact it is integrated, as in you do not require an extra module for it which is the norm🤘 I'm not familiar with the MAPECU 3 but at a guess, it will have an additional module for WiFi (that you probably purchase for an extra fee) rather than being integrated into the ECU correct? - Taz.
@@drjdmtuning4982 it's not cheaper than relays and fuses. I don't think I've spent a combined $4000 on relays and fuses over the course of my entire life.
@@magnetic0314 $4000 is expensive for any one single item in a build. You are actually correct. Especially in the long run. And also if you're starting from scratch (Which most people are not). Even if there's less wiring over all to be done. I do agree with you. But I don't 😅
Depends one one's needs and one's budget - for some it will indeed be rather expensive - especially if they don't need much of the potential! But for others it's actually a darn cheap product - not just because of the hardware itself, but because it is a single unit and so reduce the installation expense for wiring, there being a single unit to place in the vehicle and if there's a suspected problem, it's a relatively easy swap out, and other reasons that don't come to mind at almost 3:30 am.

Is HPA going to produce a course based on the Nexus R5 at any stage?

Weird, on the Link ECU, any channel can be any frequency from 1-1000Hz

It'd be interesting if they do a dumb PDU only version. Very cool all the same.
Not a fan of the look of the haltech key pad will a blink marine keypad work with this system?
I would say so, however, I would get in touch with Haltech and or Blink (or one of the other brands they are sold under/as) directly to confirm - Taz.
Whats page up for power?!!!!!!!!!
Nice video. Thanks for the information.
Can we get a link to Zaks Ali Express crimper?
4x 25amp @1khz inside there? That thing must get hot hot hot hot.
Oh so the stickers in this unit dont add more horsepower? :(
having the stickers means you have an engine that has power, so in a way it adds power.
USB C , yay !!!!

yeah yeah cool , but can it run PS5 games ?!

This is cheaper and more efficient for the life of the car

Sell it how you want. $4000 is still a bit expensive.
Add up the price of all the items you would need to do what this does and the complexity to set them up and this will seem extremely well priced
