In every Star Ocean game you encounter Gabriel Celeste and Ethereal Queen. I would prefer fighting Lenneth or Freya or maybe Lezard and Odin ^^. Sadly the new star ocean game wasnt that great in my opinion. Star Ocean 3 and 4 were the best. good gameplay

the graphics looks so nice and crisp, very pleasing in my eyes. i started playin this game last 2011 i think coz i didnt knew that this game existed already in 2004 or 2005. this is sooo much fun compared to so4.... so many things to do and ur party members can fend for theirselves coz of sidesteps. in so4, u have to manually controll the chars just to execute sidesteps, kinda lame, yeah? im so addicted to this game and i wanna unlock the full active mode coz its sooo much fun! fayt is cute! :3

Louis O I just beat Super Blair on like the 15th try, what a nasty fight that was (and she broke my streak of beating every Sphere boss on the first try, pretty good for having never played this game before!), the final blow coming from Sophia throwing a Stun Item at her. But from what I've heard I may need to up my levels a little more before dealing with this one.

yeah i run it on the latest pcsx2 emu and theres rly no lag or anything at all, and completed the game 100%. There is LAG during recording with fraps, but i figured a way how to fix that. Have to record it to a SECOND HD and not to main to avoid having FPS drops while recording lol (i started doin that @ Freya). I dunno how ''powerfull'' a comp should be, but were living in 2013 now, so i asume ppl should have i3-i5 or i7 with @3GHz+ by now.
I like how once nibelung valesti started being used Fayt got thrown to the corner on item patrol. Thats really what you had to do in this game at this level!

there should be a way to transfer data around from comp to ps2 u just have to check through google, and if u have a decent computer u should play it on a emulator
Im iffy on whether or not I should play it on an emulator. I can totally see getting to the 2nd disc and it not working or something. Plus the sound seems a little off in this video.
Im about 5 hrs in and it's been working okay. I do have problems with the sound though. usually at the start of a fight then it will sort itself out. It's annoying as fuck though.
Excuse me, but can you repost your pcsx2 settings please? I tried to play this game on pcsx2 and it's totally smooth on battle and field.. except when entering a battle. It stutters so much at first and when it loads completely, the battle runs smooth (60 fps). So I see the battle starts fine on yours. Can you please post your settings again?

Hmm thank you, but it still stutters when entering battle hmm.. It also has black squares instead of the usual zoom ins/spiral things if you know what I mean lol. One thing I notice it doesn't stutter when using Software mode, but it lags :(. Hmm do you have any idea what to do?
I played this in early 2013 and you're probably using the most recent version now right? I know that this game can cause a lot of problems for people even if they copy settings from one another. The thing you could try is play around with the settings to see if you can solve your issues. Software mode always intends to lag pretty much and the quality is the original. The black squares you're talking about if you didn't have that before you would need to un-check the option that causes this. You can change settings around w/o closing the game to see what fixes a problem and before you enter a fight make a save state right there to see what could fix your problem. Also are you specs worse or better than mine?
Hmm truthfully I played around with the settings so much that I gave up then searched for videos here lol. May I know your PCSX2 version please? Strangely the stuttering issue isn't always there. Sometimes after I changed something on the settings, the battle starts flawlessly so I thought "ah I fixed it".. until the issue came back on the 3rd battle and the battles after that.. Also.. you're using 3D11 hardware with 3x native right? Strangely if I use anything other than native while using 3d11 hardware the color becomes weird.. Lastly specs.. I don't know too much about this, but I think if you're using a PC then your spec's better than mine (I'm using a gaming laptop). Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700HQ CPU@ 2.60GHz RAM: 8 GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M

Integrity and Faithlessness did really poorly in sales and there were numerous complaints lodged against it. It turns out having the entire cast fighting at once was actually one of those.

+jetlagmadman I don't know I felt it added an extra layer to the gameplay, some enemies were much more manageable if u went for MP kills and characters like Maria and Sophia could be turned into tanks if u used Convert Damage.
Idk I kinda found it neat. If I remember correctly the bosses/enemies could be killed if you drain there MP too, so it just made it so there were two ways to kill them. If the boss has huge HP but low MP, damage that MP to kill him and the other way around if he has high MP but low HP.
well its kinda like the body can't live without the mind or vice versa, that's what I got from the MP deaths. Hope that makes some kind of sense to you.
+jetlagmadman mp death is good in this game. if youre having a hard time depleting a boss' or monster hp, then try depleting mp. Some bosses or mobs die faster when youre trying to mp damage
The setups you're using for this fight are far from optimal (Side Kick? lol). Also, there is rarely a reason to use Maria's running animation, her sidestep is way faster.
the graphics can always be boosted up with the emulator to make it look better than the original, and dont forget the double speed hack to power lvl. if u played this game in 2011, u actly had a good game to play that u missed in ur child hood atleast. i agree with u, i couldnt get into so4 either...the story was boring, the characters were horrible and annoying especily meril?? 4got that little girl name with her spamming ''Kay Kay Kay''. i beated it but couldnt bother to replay at all

So, I found out that Lenneth has about 8750 attacks. Protection is useless for characters that has about 5000s defense.

if u want full active mode i suggest u should use a exist save file and transfer it, unlocking it would take so much time and grinding.

In this game on most bosses even higher difficulties the MP pool is less than the HP pool sometimes killing the enemy via MP is a better option.

ive never played on 4-d difficulty but these bosses are easy on normal. Getting the required battle trophies to unlock 4-d is a pain in the ass
