Thank you Andy I’m from Perth Australia Thank you for so much I’m the guy who’s sick on a pension stuck at home Big Thank You mate You have made so much difference in my life and just wanted so much to tell you my friend a BIG THANK YOU🤩
That really is a very convincing weathering job Andy, for me it has the perfect balance and you've achieved the goal of making it look like it's made from steel!
This was a version I didn't know was produced, as the usual an excellent work, expecially in the weathering. The same one can be used on the Lee employed by the Aussies in Burma.
I have come back to this video several times because I wanted this model since it came out. I started it last year(!) and had horrendous trouble with the tracks. Started over and re-started over trying to get the tracks to work. I finally gave up and found some aftermarket rubber band tracks on eBay. Your track technique has worked for me over and over again...but not with these track links! Now I'm studying your weathering techniques to finish the tank even though instead of your black/white shadowing I used Ammo Modulation paints. Once I'm absolutely done with weathering, I'll post on Facebook although I'll get hit with, "those aren't the right tracks for that model", I'm sure. Love your vids, your FB pages and your store, Andy. Thanks for all you do for us out here. BoyScoutWilliams
Ah this is the one Iv got for the back of the Scammel n trailer I'm building just now the cast hull m3a1 still looks good can't wait to see it all together now
Love it! The M3 Lee is one of my favorites allied tanks. It has this steampunkish looks... Or even warhammerish... Don't care how much of this armor you build, i'll allways enjoy see you working on it. Great job man!
Hello, I beleive this is the first model you actually invest time in weadering with wonderfull results. Please keep doing this!!! One sugestion: Could you build ZWILLING FLAK 40 from Takon? I think you will enjoy a lot!!!! And it is rare to see one of this built.
BIG THANK YOU ANDY 👍I’m the guy Luka said he would thank you for me a couple of days ago , your a great man , you have made such a difference in my life if you ever come to Australia let me know please I owe you so much !!
Hi Andy, great job on the build! I'm building this model and am in the painting stage. I did have to add one additional link per side for the tracks. It's a good thing they added extra links to the D sprue.
Iv just got this kit in paint just now and you get more than enough for the tracks plus spares! Iv heard that too the tracks don't fit!. They must be buggering it up somewhere!
Hi iv just cracked in to my stash and away to start this now, what a kit the detailing is just unbelievable! Only thing iv just noticed is the seem line down the cast hull iv tried to lighty sand it but not sure if it'll show up when paints on or what yet and not wanting to go any harder I dont want to take the casting effect out the hull, I was thinking of using abit of wet putty iv got to kinda give more texture to it not sure yet want to rewatch your video and see if you done anything with this or if noticable when paints down
Hey i just want to ask, what kind of weathering effects could you use on a barrel to make it look like it has been firing for an extended period of time? Thanks
I'm impressed by the Takom models. Never built one so far, but they are on my 'To Do' list. I like your painting and weathering on the model. Do you not make the arial for the tank? You have the base, but no actual arial.
Nice build Andy. I haven’t seen this kit built until now. I’m currently working on the M3 Lee (early) from Takom. Unfortunately the tracks don’t fit as well on it as they do on this version of the vehicle. It’s about 1/2 a link to short, and adding a link makes it too loose.
Hi, do you made 1/48 scale models, and how do you weathering those models? The size is much smaller and it's not easy to apply all effects to be clearly visible. Recently I made my first model (Tamiya Matilda MK III/IV in 1/48 scale), but it's already looking good and I even rethink about weathering it at all. I am not planning to make diorama or so. PS. Anyway thank you for your videos. I used them as tutorial for my first model. :)
I think the people having problems with the tracks did the same thing I did when using extra thin cement when you push it together you shorten the links sometimes which after 5 or 6 times you end up missing almost a link could be what's happening
Training tanks were in immaculate condition. The Army hates the idea of soldiers having free time. Any rust was taken off with a wire brush and repainted. As a reward for poor performance, the tanks were detail cleaned even if they would be back in the mud before they were dried.
Andy seems like one of those friendly uncles the kids always hang around with at a barbecue.
Went into the shop today for some paint. Andy was helpful, gave me some pro tips. Will be going back once i finish my current project.
It is artistry to build that from what comes in the box
my friend designed some of the decals for that tank, glad to see you made it.
M3-Lee immortalized in the movie Sahara ! Great job weathering .
Beautiful build. These "Lee" tanks always make me think of the movie "Sahara" with Humphrey Bogart!!!
Very good film. A military classic.
Big fan of the cast hull series of these and the Shermans.
Thank you Andy I’m from Perth Australia Thank you for so much I’m the guy who’s sick on a pension stuck at home Big Thank You mate You have made so much difference in my life and just wanted so much to tell you my friend a BIG THANK YOU🤩
Now that’s weird, I was just thinking about an hour ago that ‘Andy’s been quiet lately’... Hey presto! Haha. Awesome!
Hi Andy, I think you have surpassed yourself on the Lee, great build mate.👌👌
Thanks Andy, 4 the M3A1 Lee build & 4 all the helpfull hints during assembly. great paint job.
love your work.....you make it look so simple....but the results are awesome!
That really is a very convincing weathering job Andy, for me it has the perfect balance and you've achieved the goal of making it look like it's made from steel!
I love your videos Andy. They never cease to amaze and inspire me.
Nice weathering, Andy.
Very cool kit and as usual beautiful build Andy. Thank you for your awesome videos man.
This was a version I didn't know was produced, as the usual an excellent work, expecially in the weathering. The same one can be used on the Lee employed by the Aussies in Burma.
Another good build up Andy , love you’re vids & they have got me back into modelling 👍

Outstanding video and presentation.
Ah this is the one Iv got for the back of the Scammel n trailer I'm building just now the cast hull m3a1 still looks good can't wait to see it all together now
Another great build can't wait to build this great weathering Steve 🇬🇧
A great looking Lee tank. Love the colour and overall dusty appearance. Nicely done.
Love this tank, never dreamed there would be a kit of it
I've always seen Photos of the Iron cathedral but ive never really seen one in great detail, Cheers Andy!
Thanks for all the tips.
Love it! The M3 Lee is one of my favorites allied tanks. It has this steampunkish looks... Or even warhammerish... Don't care how much of this armor you build, i'll allways enjoy see you working on it. Great job man!
I was looking at this kit 2 days ago. I've got the SMK sitting in the cupboard, and I like the shape of this.

Thank you .
Very very nice work....I ve really enjoyed it !!! Well done my friend !!!
Great vid Love your weathering techniques
Great job as usual Andy
Love your videos Andy you have inspired me to do more to my models
Hello Andy, great video mate, the way you have weathered it, it looks more like it has come from off the sea bed, Lee.
S'weet! Love to have it in 1/16 RC.
For movable suspension I would recommend a thicker white grease (compatible with the plastic/ non-solvent)or non set putty to stick it together
Another Masterpiece Andy, Awesome Video, Thanks for Sharing Your Skills n God Bless All

Good work as always,Andy.
I like to think that Andy’s shop is out in the middle of nowhere with nothing around for miles.
In a Monument Valley scene with a hitching rail out the front for your horse....lol.
Sort of.
My favorite WW-2 tank . Either Lee or Grant . “ I’m riding this tank into Berlin “
Very nice build
Looks faaaaaabulous.
Andy ... one of your best. paint and weathering spot on looks had good as any modelling magazine build. nice one mate
Looks awesome Andy 😃
BIG THANK YOU ANDY 👍I’m the guy Luka said he would thank you for me a couple of days ago , your a great man , you have made such a difference in my life if you ever come to Australia let me know please I owe you so much !!
Another kit to add to the list...!
Great as usual Andy!!!!! Very good job in each video!!!!! Follow you from Spain.
Thanks a lot for all you make for our hobby!!!!!!!!
Awesome build!!
I'll have to get this Lee to go with the one that I already have!
Awesome build Andy!
do a kv2 plz
Hi Andy, great job on the build! I'm building this model and am in the painting stage. I did have to add one additional link per side for the tracks. It's a good thing they added extra links to the D sprue.
Awesome! Just recently finished a KV-1 and started on a T-34/76, I totally stole the black/white undercoat idea!
Good job! I love it
Nice build video Andy, really nice!! thanks for sharing!!!
Nice kit and cool build up!
looks good to me and be seeing more when piosted
Andy primed a model!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lol. Good job as usual.
Men i could spend a week in that shop😍 and Nice work
real nice job!
first time watching, very impressed.
Iv just got this kit in paint just now and you get more than enough for the tracks plus spares! Iv heard that too the tracks don't fit!. They must be buggering it up somewhere!
Great build Andy, but I think you should put some fuel stains around the fuel caps behind the turret.
great job
Come out nice
Hi iv just cracked in to my stash and away to start this now, what a kit the detailing is just unbelievable! great video
Glad to see another video Andy! I was just thinking you'd been quiet lately and was starting to have withdrawals from your videos. Haha!
Andy after all layers of paint do you coat the model with varnish?
Hey i just want to ask, what kind of weathering effects could you use on a barrel to make it look like it has been firing for an extended period of time? Thanks
You could always try drybrushing a dark gray on the end of the gun barrel.
I'm impressed by the Takom models. Never built one so far, but they are on my 'To Do' list. I like your painting and weathering on the model. Do you not make the arial for the tank? You have the base, but no actual arial.
I'm thinking that would be Fort Polk in Leesville, Louisiana.
The decals can go on matt surface using Mark Fit?
Realy nice build Andy. What model will you build next.
Excellent build Andy, thanks for sharing......a quick ?....have you ever put any weight inside a model tank, lead weights or something else ?
Smooth M3 Lee, very cursed
Hey Andy could you do a video about the Bismarck or the Yamato?
do a KV 2
Hi really great work!
Can you tell me what airbrush you use and which you could recommend to a beginner?
Wow, really impressed. Where did the antennas go?
Andy what you doing before wash? Some kind of spray
How did you do the chipping that shows at 20:48??
Would be great if you made a build with workable suspension and track!
Hey Andy, what bottle colors from Tamiya would you substitute for
AS-10
AS-26
AS-27
AS-28
and TS-48
The tracks XD
She's a beauty. Did someone steal or break off the antennas?
A cast hull on an M3 Lee just looks off.
Yeah , not a fan
@@vasili1207 I'm not a fan either.👍
Lol each like their own I'm a fan of bolth orignal m4 Sherman and m3 lee in cast! I'm a welder I know what it takes to weld those next gen hulls up !
I just wish, you would have an european spreadshirt shop.
Spreadshirt ships to Europe , They have shipped many there.
Andy's Hobby Headquarters yes they do, they are just very expensive plus you have to pay taxes as well.
Hi, do you made 1/48 scale models, and how do you weathering those models? The size is much smaller and it's not easy to apply all effects to be clearly visible.

PS. Anyway thank you for your videos. I used them as tutorial for my first model. :)
Hi Andy, I really like the video's. I'm curious how do you keep your bogies wheel treads black and still paint the kit? Thanks again Joe
I think the people having problems with the tracks did the same thing I did
when using extra thin cement when you push it together you shorten the links sometimes which after 5 or 6 times you end up missing almost a link
could be what's happening
Hi Andy. Love your channel but I notice you never seem to add aerials to vehicles. any reason?
Training tanks were in immaculate condition. The Army hates the idea of soldiers having free time. Any rust was taken off with a wire brush and repainted. As a reward for poor performance, the tanks were detail cleaned even if they would be back in the mud before they were dried.
아 망리 너무 멋진데
Do you ship models?
How much would a tank actually rust if being used almost every day
