Have you ever checked out Sandy Beach Lake, another rustic State Forest campground in the NHAL State Forest? It is located north of Lac de Flambeau off Highway 47. It has been my favorite campground for many years.
They are very clear because there are not a bunch of farms with all that runoff going into the lakes like Southern Wisconsin. Not to mention the beautiful forest up here it’s very worth the visit.

Been wanting to camp up there. I heard the lakes are really clear. Thanks for sharing.
