Thank you for taking the time to delve into the Penstar. I've been considering the model because I quite like the idea of having functioning buttons instead of having to tap on different features, but I'm most put off by the fact that you cannot convert your handwriting into typed text UNLESS you're online. This makes me think I'll just stick with the already wonderful Supernote and wait for the Nomad's bigger sister to make its appearance.
I'm totally hooked on returning to the home page immediately or instantly opening notes or reading with those functioning buttons! And I always enjoy the function of "convert handwriting to text" without WiFi! searching handwritten content directly is prettttty convenient!!!
Sir, can you recommend the E ink tablet for me - my use case is taking notes. Read books, annotation, kindle books. I am torn between RM Paper Pro and Boox Air 3C. I am not sure how the writing experience between the two. Also any other brand/device.
There is a pro model under the branding Hanvon that has better specs and Android 14. I tried to order it from Taobao, but didn't want to fool with the hassle.
I think you trying to push the “next” button with your finger shows the steep learning curve that’ll be required to use the buttons and stylus. I can see someone like myself getting fast at it while being sad that touch isn’t an option.
Yeah, I'm sure if you had this as your only eink device for some time the buttons would become second nature. I think they should make a contextual display though, with that the buttons do at any given time.
You guys rarely review the interface with mobile devices. The mobile apps for the Penstar aren’t very good. Very very basic. I think Supernote has the best mobile apps. I would say remarkable since you can type into it. But Supernote with the new todo is superior.

The interface looks like something for children. Like the Fisher Price e-Ink for kids or something of the sort.

Thanks for this, I wish this one had that hardware.

Kindle Color video NOW. What do you know and when did you know it?
@@stevesutton772 hehe, honestly, I found out about it today! I'll give some opinions on it in my life stream tomorrow. 🙂
That's an interesting concept. You do need more patience tho. Touchscreens are very practical.
It says 227 ppi on there website jsuk.
Thank you for this, I've gone ahead and snipped that bit out of the video and changed the title. Not sure where I got that from!
