How long should I wait when I first turn on the skimmer and put the bubbles at the middle of the neck? Everyone says to put it at that level but no one says if it starts foaming in hours or days, I've had mine for two days and it doesn't foam, I have the air completely open, I have the skimmer 23 cm submerged in the sump
Skimmer is fine… These Pumps are great until they're not. If you have a problem, we'll have to send the pump back for them to evaluate before they send you a new one. Recognize that you are dealing with a Chinese-based company (HONYA CO. LTD) with a US service arm. The service isn't outstanding either. What's important to know is if you use this for a skimmer or a calcium reactor, you are dead in the water for weeks unless you shell out for spares.
You asked about suggestions on products to compare? I would love to see a side by side comparison of the Neptune Sky and the Generation 5 Radion. And maybe even a third contender of the AI Blades? Can you compare these three, and give your opinion on which light is the alpha male of reef lighting?
