Appreciate that this is probably very old advice and everyone is aware but just in case, please make sure that you use "food grade" /" food safe" wood oil. Happy oiling, everyone 😊🎉
Thank you for sharing. I live in Denmark and the weather here gets quite cold as well, it's so hard to find good gardening tips that aren't fr4om California or somewhere hot like that.
Thanks for the reminder about sprouts - I will start some today! I just picked a bunch of chard and we're hoping to get some collards too, if we don't have a hard freeze (NW Oregon).
I appreciate the microgreens tutorial- may you please do a future episode on what are some of your favorite seeds and how you pare them with foods, including smoothies?
I have a few similar things I need to check off my to do list that I’ve been putting off (deep cleaning my stand mixer being the most dreaded), so thank you for the inspiration and the reminder to oil my cutting boards
thank you for the reminder to do a deep clean and oil on my cutting board lol - also, I've been reading your book and love it so much Immy!! congratulations again!
Aaah thank you so much for the inspiration! The microgreens was totally what I was looking for today. I just wondered how I could meal prep fresh greens so I don’t have to go to the grocery store every week. But growing them is a much better solution 💡💡💡
Don't backing soda and lemon juice cancel each other out? I heard pretty often that it's not wise to use them both together on wooden boards, maybe someone here knows more about it?
Mixing an acid and a base will negate/dampen the effects of both, yes. This applies to cleaning with baking soda/soap and vinegar solutions as well. Theoretically, you could still get some benefits if you let the baking soda sit for a while, or used a paste of soda and water to scrub first, then went in with the lemon over top just for the pleasant aroma. Coarse salt and lemon is another option if you want a mild abrasive without nullifying the acid.
I need to restart my sourdough starter what did you use to start yours? What are you the first time was okay but it didn't really rise well all the time.. also what do you use to condition your cutting boards and wooden utensils I need to do mine
Your cutting boards look lovely after a good oiling
The best part about letting seeds and flowers compost in the garden is volunteers that show up next growing season

Oh gosh, the beginning is a great reminder that I need to take care of our garden boxes before it snows (again)!

Oh growing things in winter time is so interesting! Prices are insane lately and I want to get into small 'gardening' at home in an appartment...
Good morning looking forward to seeing your winter sweater.❤
I encourage you to try winter sowing! It’s the best way to grow native plants in colder climates…even your veggies will be heartier! Great video🥰🥰🥰
Thank you for this video Immy! Such helpful tips! I can’t wait to see the new sweater pattern!

This is such a good list, thank you!
I love my sprouts. I make the kale trio and broccoli. Two of my favorites. I agree making them yourself is so much more cost effective.

I once bought rosemary sourdough at Whole Foods and LOVED it.
Can’t wait to see what you think of Nude Foods! I live in Denver now too and I went there recently and loved it 😍
Top of my list this coming week now...scrubbing boards!👌
As a local, I would love to swap you a sourdough starter for a vegan tofu scramble mix!
Omg for sure!! Email me and we can arrange a swap

Do your microgreen seeds come in those jars, if so could you link them please?
Also a link to your seeds?

I’ve been subscribed for years but haven’t been back in a while. Hoping to try to make a bigger effort to be more sustainable in the new year.
