Just wanted to thank you again for all your great videos Just finished installing 2 1/2 ton ac unit and a little mini split system. Both work great thanks to your videos and tool recommendations
I love that manometer, heating season is starting and I look forward to using mine again ( Bought it after I watched one of your vids ) Prior to getting it I made a similar one out of my single port manometer, a T junction, tubing ( obviously ), and one of my insulin syringes with needle removed. ( im sure you can visualize how this went together) , I stuffed the syringe which fit perfectly in the tube and sealed itself and hid that it was actually a medical device ( less odd for customer ) And i could use the manometer reading after connecting and zeroing as the reference as to the vacuum I was pulling by pulling the plunger out VERY VERY SLOWLY AND CAREFULLY * ( seriously green plumber reading this,do not underestimate how sensitive the switch is and how easy you can break it ) * I could then check the continuity with my electrical meter with aligator clips on the leads hooked up, I could do positive pressure switch tests in the same way by beginning with the plunger on the syringe pulled out. I loooove a good problem to solve, and when I was a young green gas fitter a persistent problem to solve was how to ( ethically ) get expensive tools I could not afford to do the job. ;)
Love the videos. Great that you explained how the manufacturer's have made these furnaces so complicated that the yj gas tester is almost useless. Don't like the idea of buying another tool. What happened to the good old days?
Literally just with a drill bit and thread tap. Incorrect inlet gas pressure is found often on propane and also just when gas lines are incorrectly sized.

with the gas valve you had first look like white Rodgers after market for honey well has no marking for wires .what wire goes where as I ordered one to replace ruud honeywell and it came with zero instructions .I know one is signal wire but does it matter what wire goes to what terminal
I odered one today.... I have used a syringe tied into a T of tubng for a long time now to add slight Pressure. ( Im diabetic, and the syringe has no needle on it ) and it always feels a little weird whipping out port tubing and a syringe on a service call. :)

Wow very nice method and yes thanks for letting people know that it is very easy to break the pressure switch. I love this tester too, thanks!
Very ingenious! Now I am pondering on a 2.0 version using a fountain pen screw piston converter.
Great video thanks! I never knew what the hold button function was for on my Fieldpiece unit, I’ll try next Switch I test.
Thanks 404 Refrigeration!

Honestly sometimes the efficiency is not worth is when an 800 variable speed part breaks like an inducer motor or modulating gas valve, thanks!
Excellent video! 👍
Thanks a lot Nor-Cal, I appreciate it!
Does the uei 151 measure in Mbar (Millibar)?
Thanks in advance 😊
great teacher,, I even have the monometer you put water in
Yes I show my students the water manometer so that they know where inches of water column comes from, thanks Dennis!
how did you drill out that drip leg with barb fitting? how often do you find inlet gas pressure is incorrect?
Literally just with a drill bit and thread tap. Incorrect inlet gas pressure is found often on propane and also just when gas lines are incorrectly sized.
Great video thank you.
Ron, thanks!
thank you for sharing!!!!!!
Thanks Jimbola77!

Do you have any experience in troubleshooting Carrier I vu control boards? If so can you do a video on how to diagnose one.
Actually Wayne, sorry I do not, thanks

nice manometer, this thing is awesome. Ive a dual port tpi manometer, does not have a pump like yours though... that thing is pimp :)
It is nice! Thanks MrDmadness!

I went the exact same route
Thanks Jeremy!
