I only really started using one this year and this video is super helpful making sure I'm doing it right. The pressure switch test feature is great too. I like showing customers the readings. I can say "This is what it SHOULD be. This is what it IS. That's how I know it needs replacing." It's not personal.
The differential reading may be important with gas valves in some cases. For instance we may need the inlet pressure to be 1.5"WC minimum above manifold pressure for the gas valve to regulate properly. So without the proper differential the manifold pressure drops.
Just orderd on yesterday, for years I've used the Yellw Jacket 78060 on commercial food equipment and commercial HVAC with a Meter . Thanks for the training Happy Holidays
Good information Bryan. I've found, in most cases, that technicians are getting incorrect information because they failed to read the instructions for their meters/electronics and assumed that they knew how to operate them properly. Unfortunately, even senior techs.
I have the same manometer. It seems like the reference point to atmospheric changes, so it throws the measurement off. I have to pinch the tube disconnect it and zero it out to atmospheric again. It seems like the measurement wanders. I’m wondering if my manometer is just faulty or if they’re just all like that?

Outstanding information. I have been using my monometer a lot this winter and this is very useful information to have. Thanks.
It took me two times to watch it, but the explaination really clicked after watching on the second time. Thanks for the video!

the simplest things are so easily overlooked and misunderstood ... thank you for this simple video

Static pressure testing ensures if the
equipment is operating within factory
specifications
Great demonstration of how the meter works. Thanks.
Ole Bert couldn't have done a video any better! Long live Bert! Great video guys
Thanks for Tip. If you could show us how to used it when you have to use the combustion chamber as reference would be very appreciated .Thanks again.😊

Excellent video! Thank you!
Do you know my reading pressures are not stabilize?
Why is that when checking static on ...say trane ... it’s to isolate the blower to get the right wc?
Why is it . When I press the power button. I get a prgd -short for program I think . on the screen I’m not sure what it is . Thankntou
Helpful video! Thank you!
Thanks,nice topic
Great video....
This video is for the techs who cannot read the manual that comes with the manometer
Ya so
What instructions. PSS after 27 years

Crap. Now I'll be doing that for the rest of my life. Thanks a lot pal.
