Wigmore castle.

Wigmore is one of many castles built in the Welsh marches, many of which were founded by William FitzOsbern, 1st Earl of Hereford. It may have been a motte and bailey castle but the early lay out is unknown. There are 2 small earthworks to the East and West which may have been from a siege in 1155.

In Herefordshire there, blimey English Heritage do seem to be letting things get over grown, I note giving a helping hand to nature, but this is ridiculous.
