I can back this up from experience, I tried it as a bit of fun now I have a spot and I know it's from that because I hadn't changed anything from my routine apart from when I did it ( I wear tinted moisturizer Very minimal) I went and brought a foundation just to try it and it was one I had used before back when I used to wear foundation... Anyways it was too much for my skin and I broke out 😢
It is a lot of money yes. We don't get paid to do it. Just because you get things for free doesn't mean you're gonna have those benefits forever I'd rather save up all that product just in case I went broke.
In one video she counted and she did seven pumps of one foundation and three pumps of the Dior. It looks OK on camera but I just imagine it must look crazy in person. Plus I touch my face so much that I would look like the joker in no time lol.
Honestly there’s a level of makeup that is so thick and over the top that it ends up looking amazing if you have young skin like Meredith. It also wears well and is basically drag makeup by the end of it, which does NOT look natural but can look flawless
I don’t think it looks as good in person in day light as on camera especially she s using liquid foundation. Healthy young skin would look fine with heavy power foundation in wet sponge, yet not as heavy as she does here.
I could see the texture even through your beauty and filming lights. You will never convince me this looks good on anyone except ppl with flawless texture- less skin.

I thought it was really refreshing how she said no matter what she would have skin texture, whether there was foundation on it or not, so she just chooses to do her make up the way that makes her happy.
I only need one pump to completely cover my face, I can't imagine FOURTEEN pumps 😭 edit: it's more of a texture thing for me personally, sensory issues go brrr

Honestly,14 pumps is TOO EXCESSIVE. I’m a licensed esthetician & I will tell you someone who applies this much make up is stupid because, putting too much on your face makes it prone to breakout’s, millia, blackhead’s whitehead’s & acne. Sure she’s a pretty girl but, I cringe when I see her out that much foundation on. Plus, it’s wasting tons of product & I feel is unnecessarily overusing makeup & is a bit gluttonous to be honest! She needs to stop! Not everyone can afford to use that much stuff on the daily. Most women have a few foundations at most at a time. She’s teaching people especially young one’s to be gluttonous.
@jclyntoledo no.. well, I mean I have summer and winter shades. But foundations are my weakness. I collect them like crazy. Only a couple might not be a shade match. But that's because it's in my makeup kit for others. Everything else that I own is matched to my skin tone and I have white, red/orange and blue mixers.

Thing is, Meredith doesn't just wear her foundation like this though. After all this foundation, she puts on like 5 or 6 more pumps of foundation, a shit ton of concealer and an abhorrent amount of blush, bronzer and highlight. Everyone trying this out is putting on the right amount of foundation, and then doing the rest of the make up normally, which just defeats the purpose imo. If I put on just that amount of bronzer/blush/highlight, even with no foundation, I would look like my face was bleeding.
Her makeup always looks flawless but the thought of putting that much makeup on gives me the heebie-geebies!! And she has such radiant skin! If I had her skin I'd never wear foundation! But she's happy & ultimately that's what matters 🤷♀️
If you notice where your blush stops it's right at your laugh lines, creating them too look deep .In turn making you look older. Which your smooth young face is not. Your very pretty and thank you for posting your storys about that place you were sent too.
I agree, she is absolutely stunning but she sometimes overdoes it with blush and bronzer. She is super talented with makeup, but adding this much blush and/or bronzer just makes it look like you have a smudge on your cheek. Reminds me of the heavy contouring people used to do back in 2014. The placement doesn't quite fit her face like you said, bc she brings it down to her mouth almost, and that would age anyone imo. Maybe making it a bit lighter and placing it higher up would help? But idk, this is my personal opinion and it is up to her to decide. English is def not my first language and this is my attempt at constructive criticism lol, so I really hope it doesn't sound rude, I love her content

I also experiment her technique in my shorts video. It actually looks so flawless. But later I got pimple on my forehead. It’s kinda clogged my pores although I double cleansed!

Noo! Actually she uses her hands, you not the other hand, used a sponge. The sponge basically absorbed the foundation. You both look absolutely stunning. Here is the thing, Meredith uses this technique because she wants to hide her beautiful freckles. Other people don’t need to use this much product if they are not trying to cover something. Tip: if anyone is trying to hide anything on their face or and their imperfections (ALL IMPERFECTIONS ARE ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL), use a color corrector. That way your makeup won’t be thick and feel heavy and you won’t waste your product.

Yeah after thinking about it, having seen a few of these videos now, she probably does it to keep the foundation wet, which does help blending. It's pretty common in paintings for example to blend wet paint into wet paint. However the same effect could be achieved by adding a little skin oil to the foundation to make it more slick, or using a setting spray (if you're quick). Both of these methods would likely effect the coverage though!

I saw her on another tiktoker's video (Hayley Bailee), without her light set up and filters, and her face was LITERALLY cakey, orange, her neck was white, and she looked 20 years older than she is... I'm not hating on the girl, I couldn't care less. I'm just saying what I saw.
I tried it too out of curiosity, but I only used 4 pumps because I don’t think I would need more than that. Hate to say it but it honestly looked flawless 😭 I’d probably do it again for an event, but never for everyday. It doesn’t feel heavy but the skin looks too perfect / almost porcelain-like.

I think the OP doesn't use a sponge and uses a brush. The sponge absorbed a lot of product.

I'm shocked that people are shocked she does her foundation that way lol... I've been doing mine like that since I was 14, maybe not as many pumps, but do put it all over with my hands as the 1st step!?! I actually couldn't imagine doing my makeup any other way.
I saw her on another tiktoker's video (Hayley Bailee), without her light set up and filters, and her face was LITERALLY cakey, orange, her neck was white, and she looked 20 years older than she is... I'm not hating on the girl, I couldn't care less. I'm just saying what I saw.

I tried it too out of curiosity, but I only used 4 pumps because I don’t think I would need more than that. Hate to say it but it honestly looked flawless 😭 I’d probably do it again for an event, but never for everyday. It doesn’t feel heavy but the skin looks too perfect / almost porcelain-like.
