My daily driver for over 10 years is a 66 coupe. The turning radius sucks, but you get used to it. You really should go back to the floating horse in the grill, IDK why they would remove that. You can adjust the tilt of the back part of the seat by folding it forward and you'll see an adjustment point. Not that much help, but you're right into that steering wheel. For safety, you might want to look into shoulder belts. You said "not a fast car", a V8 Mustang should be pretty powerful, if not, plenty of mods you can do to the engine.
Nice car and a very good restoration. I live in New Zealand and about 15 years ago I bought a 1966 notch back in original condition imported from your country. It is Ember Glow Gold with a cream vinyl roof. This colur combination was only done in 1966 so it is rather specai. I have done engine and gear box rebuild but other that that its is original and I love it. It is certainly a head turner when you drive it. Enjoy your new car. Cheers Ian
A little late to the party but damn, that is beautiful! I just picked up a 66 Mustang. It’s in very good rust-free condition but needs some body and paint where the roof was replaced. I would have loved a fastback. Maybe the next one.
I AM 6 FT, I FOUND MY FRIENDS MUSTANG GT 65 SO HARD TO DRIVE, MY LEGS ARE LONG, SO UNCOMFORTABLE HARD TO PUSH IN THE CLUTCH, HIS HAD NO POWER STERRING, MY LEGS HIT THE STEERING WHEEL, NOT FOR ME.
Wow that is mint. My dad had a totally restored 67 Mustang like 10-20 years ago. Great car but not fast (even with a V8) and you'd need lots of room to stop with the drum brakes. LOL you are buying gas again.
Beautiful Mustang…I owned a 1968 for 15 yrs, the second owner, my first car. I should have never sold her…James can you put this guys info if he allows to see how much he’d restore a 1970’s Mustang I may inherit…?
I tried to go to the Knoxville auto show this past Sunday based on your recommendation but I bailed based on the weather. Did you go? What brings you to TN? I lived in Dutchess County, NY and moved to Chattanooga 2 years ago for work. How do you like being a transplanted NYer?
@@JamesKlafehn very good. You're right, people are generally friendlier than NY and it's a nicer place to raise a family. I actually liked it where I lived in dutchess county but moved here for work. I like it much better than NY
If you can sell it for more than you paid for it, I'd do that. You can't fit in that car! You'd have to get a smaller wheel and somehow lower that seat and put in a new track so it goes back further. It may not work for you but maybe go for it if you are 100% sure you want to keep it.
Im definitely keeping it. I have lots of videos coming. I got a smaller wheel and new shifter. New gauges are almost in. It fits me so much better already! Videos coming soon.

Rail extenders , and a tilt steering wheel will make the fit better

Yeah I went. It was huge! We escaped NY because of the weather, taxes, laws and people. We LOVE it here. Its amazing and everyone is wonderful!

I own a 70 Boss. I'm 6'5" 275 pounds. I changed the wheel and seat tracks. It helps a little.
Sell me the steering wheel...Im looking one.
my dream mustang is 93 foxbody coupe ( notch ). Lets hope fossil fuel will be around for a while to power these cars
I call my 66 Mustang a poor mans Mustang, I cannot afford a fastback......
How much did you pay for it? It’s beautiful
Dude, my wife watches my channel! I cant say on here! :P
Do you feel self-conscious about your accent? I used to think everyone here had an accent until living here. Now I think I sound funny
Accent? lol. No. I have been told I have a Rochester NY accent. I have never heard it before but thats where I am from originally.
I am stunned that anyone would be gullible enough to buy an EV truck
I was thinking the same thing. Never buy anything designed by faceless bureaucrats.
