America is the land of the free. Anyone can think and do anything as long as he does not hurt and harm others. I speak all day all months and all years even though nothing show up, nothing is true, but I can still keep on talking because I have no leader in my life. I dream of being a hmong leader, but it's just a dream. I may get paid by my people who receive welfare and social security. I know to govern a people, I need high education; wealth and supports from my uneducated people. Even if God give my people a land, we will end up destroying each other, yet I dream of one anyway. May God have mercy on me and my people.
Why?
After 40 years in America, we should know better that we cannot have a nation. Even if God gives us a land for free, we cannot govern it. To govern a nation, we must have a strong family. We must have wealth, we must have education. We must know how to love our family first. If I can't even provide, I don't even have a good job, how can I provide for my family? Let's face reality. We cannot even govern a new year, how can we govern a people? Start with our family first, and I pray for the next 100 years we may be ready.

How about getting involved with UNPO (Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organization)? Since the Hmong ChaoFa Federated State is still one of the members of the organization. Plus, a few of the former members finally have independence with their own countries now.
UNPO is an organization, but it's not powerful enough compare to the UN.

Collabrating may teach the hmong state development association (HSDA, as I'll refer to them) a few things about diplomacy and advocating their cause more effectively. Members like Estonia and Palau left because they gained recognition and now have seats in the UN.

Just wondering if your group know that many prominent states/countries have applied for an independent state/country and to this day they have not succeeded.
To name two of them, Taiwan and American-Indian Tribes.
Think about that for a moment or two...
Writing a letter to UN to request your own independent state is simple but the process is easier said than done.
Taiwan has its own piece of land and the American-Indian Tribes also have land but still to this day, They are unable to join UN.
The Hmong have no country or piece of land that they all live in or own or govern...
We have no government and these are just some of the requirements to join UN.
Without membership in UN, obtaining an independent state is but a dream...
The example about the police dog butting the woman that the one gentleman used to motivate the crowd to joining his group was a bit weird.
America is probably the best country that the Hmong got relocated to. Here you have rights and freedom that are unimaginable. We have learned and understand things we never knew existed.

Some might be heart broken and some might welcome the fact that as a Hmong we moved around to different countries and get to sample them.

In my opinion, this is an insult to the Hmong. Most Hmong people only know Latin writing and these people don't even use the Latin literature with Soob Lwj Yaj's literature. Communication is so important when you are trying recruit and rally people to be with you. Good luck to them and their goal. They want respect but they don't even respect the Hmong that only know Latin literature.
