As a Hmong, my only words to our Hmong folks: "It is not the U.S. Government fault but yours when the U.S government already gave you chance to become U.S citizen so you can help build the country economically and politically but you chose not to". If anything, any hmong person or families that have been affected by the war during that time, if have committed any crime let them be sentence and punish as any americans would. Why deporations?!? Why are we looked at differently when at the end of the day, regardless if you fought with the US or not during that time both side suffered due to the fact that we as hmong are involve.
