I’m always completely blown away by his voice! In one song he can sound so quiet and kind of demure but in others his voice becomes something totally different. His range is uncanny in that he could do almost anything he wanted with it..it’s so unreal to me! Also I ALWAYS feel his intensity because he sang every song with such emotion..something I don’t think any other artist has done?! I mean every song is sung with so much emotion, intensity and he never slacks! Sorry this is so long but I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately and the more I “really” listen the more obvious it is! Thanks David..he was truly remarkable in every sense! TCB/TLC ⚡️
Also the album “Blue Hawaii” was when I totally became a fan. My brother (who was 8 years older than me) went to see the movie, bought the soundtrack and gave it to me! I have it to this day... 🌈
That was a pretty hot soundtrack! Other than can’t help falling in love and rock a hula baby, I don’t know what the draw was. Probably just seeing Elvis on the screen, they wanted their own copy!
I love that song 💕 I think there are so many underrated songs. The funny fact is that, altought I've been a fan from years, sometimes I rediscover some his songs again and start playing them day by day.
I would say as early as 56 it was apparent Elvis had an amazing vocal range and ability, million dollar quartet an example or listen to his home recordings , one in particular stands out, his beautiful rendition of" IF I loved you", from the movie carousel. his vocal range versatility and ability here is impeccable. He has recorded many songs showing his amazing vocal range, often using his full vocal range within the one song. Many of Elvis,s recordings with only his vocals no over dubs, strings horns etc, showcase just what notes he was was more than capable of producing, never forced just so effortlessly and natural, add in that heavenly vibrato which added to his perfect pitch. hearing this 30 second clip I wouldn't say its one of his highest notes he's reached. I agree that some of his best vocals have been on his soundtracks to his movies. Hollywood knew what they were guaranteed to get from an Elvis movie, alsoThe Col knew it, but he was way more than just a pretty face who sing, Elvis could act. He would have been more than capable off commanding more serious acting roles given The opportunity, he also had impeccable comedic timing, which shone through his movies when asked of him. I personally enjoyed all his movies, maybe being a lady had a lot to do with that, I can't think,of what it may have been though, haha Great video as usual though, I have to admit I listen watch and read about Elvis all day long , haha

Geez, that's only about 30 seconds. It's good, but to wish could hear whole thing. But to talk about gems, believe it or not whether you like Parker or not. These 31movies were great business and financial decisions. These movies and movie albums were meant to showcase Elvis,s musical talents. I my self grew up on his movies and loved them, don't care about scripts, some of them were actually quite cute and funny, but I myself loved them all, for an untrained actor Elvis was not bad. He had to make best of bad scripts that were not his fault. But musically he was really entertaining, watch him with ann Margaret, g.i. blues, he wasn't bad in dramas either. But these movies were formula movies done on purpose. Parker was brilliant, Elvis got a million bucks to his credit, I know Elvis hated hispvies, but today these are almost cult classics of another era. I started watching them during covid and still find them fun to watch, I call them popcorn movies. Now I don't expect you to watch or like his movies but check out his musical numbers, he was fantastic even then. No other artists had done the movie thing like Elvis, the Beatles maybe a few. But they were hits at box-office, made Elvis more wealthy with films and recordings, and he became a household name all over the world. Everybody knew the word Elvis then, well almost everybody. I was 6 or 7, when I saw his films, that's how I got to know him. And if they are remembered today, Parker did his job. They are meant to be light family fun, not Brando, or Olivier, they are like the old Disney movies back then. Just absolutely fun to watch, you didn't have to think heavy, no message film, just eat your popcorn with your drink, laugh and have fun with the movie. Geez, I miss those days when movies were fun. But anyway Elvis and Parker, no matter what film critics said etc, they landed on a goldmine. And probably didn't even know it at the time. Elvis had to be the envy of Hollywood, financially anyway. These men were definately not stupid.

Also interesting about King Creole, I bought a vintage piece of sheet music of the song “King Creole”, on the back is a list of other songs in the movie. One is titled “Turtles, Berries and Gumbo”. Either it was filmed then cut or cut out completely. The spot for It was sung right before the fight scene in the restaurant after he actually says "You're Stepping Out of Line" they fight and end up in jail. The avatar you picked is the scene. To be honest with you that ending sounds exactly like "Rock A Hula Baby ".
@@cerriberry6835 Hi Kerri, nice to meet you. Yes been a fan all my life, thanks to my mother who met Elvis in 64 during the movie, Girl Happy. How long you been a fan?
D@@Rock4UNow lovely to meet you too 🙂 she met him! OMG! 🤗Would of been my dream. How wonderful. What did she tell you about it.? I have been a fan since I was about 7-8 years old. My dad was a fan , I remember seeing a picture of a man ( Elvis) in a shop window and I felt gravated towards him I can’t explain it....it went from there. I was 9 when he died. I was born in 68 same as Lisa Marie! There’s not much I don’t know about him. I would love to go to Graceland one day. That is my dream and goal.....it seems a long way off at the moment though, I’m English so it’s also a long way to go! 🤔 I live in the south west....
I heard recently an interview with June Juanico ? where she said Elvis absolutely hated musicals so much that when they went to see The King and I he got so disgusted when Yul Brenner started singing they got up and left.. Sad
I can understand why they didn't include it as part of the soundtrack. By the title of the song, I thought it was about the spoiled rich girl character, but the lyrics had nothing to do with that. It didn't apply to his girlfriend, because she wasn't a pain in the neck nor the school teacher. I never heard it before. I liked this style for Elvis. It reminds me of some playful songs like Such a Night or Stuck on you which are more middle of the road between rock n' roll and big band. They sound sophisticated.
Elvis singing the blues is basically the foundation of Rock n Roll. Inspired the British Invasion, brought race music to the masses, and was the archetypal star. Now, Elvis is so amazing he cannot be labeled into one single genre. However, I really love when Elvis sings the Blues since so much happened as a result of a white guy with a whole bunch of soul, and a whole bunch of charisma, singing black music.
I don't know for sure, but the ending to this son is very similar to how Elvis ended "Rock-A-Hula Baby" which was included in one of the best scenes in the movie Blue Hawaii. the tag at the end is basically: "....ah wella rock-a- a- hula baby OF MIIIIHIIIINE-AHHWAHHAHA!" Same note and same style ending. Perhaps the two tracks were too close in that regard? It could simply have been that the movie was trimmed for time also as often happens. Would be interesting if anyone out there knows for sure.
One of the main reasons why it wasn't used in the movie, or put on the soundtrack is because it was recorded on a really bad mic. It's a shame the engineer didn't catch it earlier, or it not only would have been on the soundtrack but could have also been a big hit, because it's such a great rocker.
when you talk about power in the voice of Elvis you should listen to "wild in the country" on the second disk on the cd-box Close up. At 0:45 he makes a "mistake" in key, but wow what a mistake!
Elvis made some strange career moves the worst was never touring the world. He would have made billions - nearly all the songs from movies post King Creole were dross as were the movies. This was obviously known by his management as illustrated by those which were put out as singles such as Can't Help Falling In Love and Return to Sender.
All you do is talk talk talk when I saw Elvis Presley I'm like yes I want to hear his sexy voice he knows how to lift a person's spirits up in no time if he was still alive I would have fought for him so you know by the way I want to buy stuff from you know the Elvis Presley collection not fake stuff I'm not going to put up with that but I do want DVDs CDs figurines of Elvis rings anything to do with Elvis please I know I'm asking a long time since Elvis has passed away
IMO his vocal ability was the greatest round this time ... he is phenomenal ... blue Hawaii was his biggest selling movie... that's because the fans wanted elvis singing in the movies. Great Dave.. are you doing a live stream today?
He actually does this on Hound Dog,when he first sung it on Milton Berles show, the slow down thing. Also I think on the comeback show with Jailhouse Rock.
Yes Sir you are right, now Check out Elvis at 2:00 min here> ruclips.net/video/yvbdIjh5uU8/видео.html Elvis hits the note and it looks as if he says to himself Damn I hit that note .....then under control, he thinks damn right I hit it I'm Elvis! God Blessed us withthe talent of Elvis!
Yes, Tom Jones had a great set of lungs, but this video is about Elvis. Elvis liked Tom's singing...especially Green Green Grass of Home, and they were friends, so I don't like saying one is better than the other. I don't think Tom can sing the wide variety type of music as Elvis did. But let's just say they both were good at singing and drew lots of female's attention.
I'm not trying to be a jerk. I too am a big Elvis fan but they both had their strengths. Lets be honest. Elvis rarely tried the big powerful prolonged note that Tom would sing. That wasn't his thing. They both had different singing styles and that's fine. There is room for both men.
please cut out the disco and video game music while you're doing your dialogue it's sincerely distracts and subtracts from the quality of what you're doing in my humble opinion Love your channel you have good content and are adding value to the Elvis legacy
Elvis had it all, great talent 🌟

Love when he would do a bluesy type of ending, Imo the best white blues singer there ever was.Reconsider Baby,Hi-Heel sneakers Down in the alley.
Either it was filmed then cut or cut out completely. The spot for
It was sung right before the fight scene in the restaurant after he actually says "You're Stepping Out of Line" they fight and end up in jail. The avatar you picked is the scene.
To be honest with you that ending sounds exactly like "Rock A Hula Baby ".
Yes your right!
@@cerriberry6835 I like your RUclips name.
Thank you....ahh. My name is Kerri....I just spell it different..listening to Elvis is a joy and I can see what a great fan you are 🙏🏻😘
@@cerriberry6835 Hi Kerri, nice to meet you.
Loved it just awesome the way Elvis can reach those high notes and low notes so easily thank you 😷✌
Yes, it’s awesome!
If you really want to listen to Elvis sing his high notes then listen to What Now My Love. You will Love it .
You’re right
I heard recently an interview with June Juanico ? where she said Elvis absolutely hated musicals so much that when they went to see The King and I he got so disgusted when Yul Brenner started singing they got up and left.. Sad
I like the jacket, do you have the air Jordan's to match? Great range by elvis thanks for taking the time.
Yeah I do lol. No problem man!
I wonder if that person is out of Time out yet from yesterday? Lol
That’s right! He’s bigger than one genre
Hurt last concert makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck
One of the main reasons why it wasn't used in the movie, or put on the soundtrack is because it was recorded on a really bad mic. It's a shame the engineer didn't catch it earlier, or it not only would have been on the soundtrack but could have also been a big hit, because it's such a great rocker.
I like how the mic makes his vocals sound!
@@ElvisistheMan_ Yeah, it's kind of mic distortion before that sort of thing was popular.
when you talk about power in the voice of Elvis you should listen to "wild in the country" on the second disk on the cd-box Close up. At 0:45 he makes a "mistake" in key, but wow what a mistake!
Absolutely. Or “in my way.” Beautiful.
One of the reasons may be that they already had a blues ending in Rock a hula. Just a thought x
hey dave hello from scotland.😂
Hello!
Elvis made some strange career moves the worst was never touring the world. He would have made billions - nearly all the songs from movies post King Creole were dross as were the movies. This was obviously known by his management as illustrated by those which were put out as singles such as Can't Help Falling In Love and Return to Sender.
It was on the Blu Hawaii soundtrack. It is not on the Pot Luck album.
You should do a video on Trying to get to you from the comeback special, his vocal ability on that is insane imo.
Hard luck another hidden gem
All you do is talk talk talk when I saw Elvis Presley I'm like yes I want to hear his sexy voice he knows how to lift a person's spirits up in no time if he was still alive I would have fought for him so you know by the way I want to buy stuff from you know the Elvis Presley collection not fake stuff I'm not going to put up with that but I do want DVDs CDs figurines of Elvis rings anything to do with Elvis please I know I'm asking a long time since Elvis has passed away
He could sing every note, high or low. Made a few opera songs, don't know any other artists who could do that. For sure today's artists can't!
Even though this is completely different I love how he sings What now my love, from Aloha amazing also You gave me a Mountain.
Anybody that talks bad about Elvis talent! Is just jeoules!!! Two examples jerry lee lewis & john lennon!!!!!!
IMO his vocal ability was the greatest round this time ... he is phenomenal ... blue Hawaii was his biggest selling movie... that's because the fans wanted elvis singing in the movies. Great Dave.. are you doing a live stream today?
Yessss I was just thinking about that. Leaning heavily towards it
👍🏿👌🏾
Hey Buddy have a Clip in Boston or houston 1971 with the Song "Amen " or live me
If you like high notes, Hurt live 77 is way higher than that note
Personally i think the best hidden Elvis gem in the 60's was/is Marguerita 1963. His vocals here are-as usual incredible
That’s a good one
He actually does this on Hound Dog,when he first sung it on Milton Berles show, the slow down thing. Also I think on the comeback show with Jailhouse Rock.
Yes Sir you are right, now Check out Elvis at 2:00 min here> ruclips.net/video/yvbdIjh5uU8/видео.html
Elvis hits the note and it looks as if he says to himself Damn I hit that note .....then under control, he thinks damn right I hit it I'm Elvis!
God Blessed us withthe talent of Elvis!
I thought it was something special. I heard it 30 times already
The song that Elvis did called Surrender really brings out his vocal Range it's a brilliant song I'm sure you know it if not check it out.
Hi, David! Is it me or is there no description?
No check it out 👌🏻
That doesn’t sound like the final cut which is even more impressive.
I like this take. Take 15 🔥
Please do a reaction on Elvis singing What Now My Love. I would love to see your reaction to this. Please, Please.
This is great, but I think there's better examples of Elvis doing this type of thing.
That type of ending was used a lot on some of the better movie songs...
TomJonesistheMan. If you want to hear high notes and power vocals checkout the album “This Is Tom Jones”. That is how it’s supposed to be done.
Yes Tom had a good voice, but was he “the Man”?! Referred to my video about Elvis being the GOAT. See how Tom does compared to Elvis in that category.
Q Bosta ! ! ! ! ! Elvis just turn upside down on his coffin . . . . .
