When you go a Ghost concert, it's not just a concert, it's called a 'Ritual" guys. Such a cool band that have been out for years. The band members are called the "Nameless Ghouls and Ghoulettes". Check out "Square Hammer", "Cirice", "Dance Macabre".....

agreed, the one thing this band has that i love is mystery. This world is deprived of mystery
It's Tobias playing with words just to keep us confused. He always does that and for some the lyrics makes perfect sense but yourself has a totally different opinion of what the songs about. One example is Rats when everyone thinks that it's about the Rats that spead the plague but Tobias has in interviews said that it's also about modern times where bullying doesn't stop in school but also keeps coming on social media and your smartphone. "There still coming after you, and there is nothing you can do" . Mary is not specific about Marijuana it's about a lot of different things and i can recommend the long interview he did with Mastodon singer where he speaks about that.
Most of the time I wear my nun garb to the show. My son went with me last time and wore a ghoul costume he made himself. Our friend also wore a nun outfit. It gets rid of the "omg what are you wearing to the show" anxiety.
Ghost is very creative with their lyrics where they could have multiple meanings. If you use this song as a metaphor for for marijuana "tickle you internally" would represent getting the "giggles" !

I always have the feeling that many visitors have totally fallen for him, what he sings, how he moves. They absorb everything and I totally understand them ❤️💋😁Only the earlier ghoul masks attracted me more 🙏💋
The lyrics mainly revolves around trying to succeed with friends and weed. Written by Papa Nihil (Papa 0) during a time when many people feared marijuana. But with most Ghost songs they always have double meanings. The most obvious line are "not just another bloodymary," "your beauty never seem to scare me," and "tickle you internally."
If it helps, the nuns are cosplaying the Sisters of Sin they'll have around at shows for different things (like when Copia became Papa IV, they surrounded him as he went from one to the other).
4:42 is my favorite part of this one, where the super-hot nun ecstatically sings along with "... I will tickle you internally." Whoever did the editing on this deserves a few drinks.

I've been into Ghost for almost 6 years when I saw them open for Iron Maiden. I always thought this was a sweet love song, and then last year I was at the ritual and he sang marijuana at the end. That prompted me to look it up, and I was like oh. Tobias is a goofball.
Tickle you internally = getting high on grass. This was meant to be a protest song from the sixties they discovered in storage. This is meant to be sung by the first Papa. It's a double entendra of course - but I don't think Tobias is that obviously crass.
I am not so sure, I’ve heard him use explicit sexual innuendo in other songs. 🫣
@@FlameImperishable a bit of both. He's been explicit yes but he's always been respectful of women. I read that this was his ode to the green stuff that helped him fend off loneliness and boredom on the road. The cross could refer to a joint made by putting several joints together in the shape of a cross. Anyway, thanks for another fun reaction!

Long time no see! Experiencing a Ghost Ritual for yourself is just an amazing experience, and hopefully you'll get an opportunity soon (he mentioned a tour coming this year). I enjoyed the detour most, 😂. I actually got my first and only complement on my sideburns while in the frozen section at Walmart the other day 🤣. Most guys won't admit to the "rushed number one" problem, but it's real 😅. Glad to see you guys again!

You guys are back!!! I'm sorry you guys didn't get the chance to go to a ritual, but there's always next time. And if you guys do go to one, yes you should dress up! I dressed up as an Era 2 Nameless Ghoul at my first ritual and it was so much fun!
As for Papa IV's age. It's implied in one of the chapter videos that he (not Tobias) was most likely born in 1970, meaning that he's in his fifties. And his dad, Papa Nihil, according to the lore was the frontman of the band in the 60s hence why Mary On A Cross and Kiss The Go Goat have that sound to them. So no, Papa IV is not immortal and he's just an awkward silly guy whom we love very much. (I'm going to be so sad when he gets killed off.)
