My thing is, Corey, is these videos you’re uploading aren’t only for people aspiring to become martial arts champions. It’s for people who wanna be successful. Your videos are super underrated and deserves more attention 🏆
Cory has quickly become my favorite fighter. I usually only "fanboy" fighters by virtue of them being elite, and representing what I deem as the pinnacle of modern MMA performance. As such, normally it's the elite wrestlers with a specific, high output, control oriented style I gravitate towards following (be it a lesser known guy like Gillespie, an OG like Fitch & Shields, a stereotypical offensive wrestler prototype like Colby (until recently lol), Cain, Khabib, Chimaev, Dvashvilli, etc... or the more modern representatives with bright futures like Bo Nickal. Either way, Cory always caught my eye because of his sophisticated approach to the game. I could tell, watching him batter Moraes... just by his eyes, and confidence calling out the broken orbital... he's as elite as they come. He's destined for greatness. I even remember thinking, despite lacking in evidence to validate it, "I bet this dude can grapple like nobody's business". And, as we've seen recently, Cory CAN in fact wrestle. Cruz-esque in his ability to shimmy with good wrestlers despite his seemingly striking-heavy approach and body type atypical of a wrestler (granted, Cruz was more of a credentialed wrestler and likely is the better pure wrestler, whereas Cory just has the more well-rounded, and more modernized, overall grappling game. He may be an 8.5 in wrestling (shooting, upper body clinching, etc) to Cruz's 9.0 - but he's also a 9.0 in every other grappling department, from bottom game, to sub D, to everything else... possibly even a 9.5 in top game; whereas Cruz is more like a 8.0 at best in all those other mat-grappling departments. Long story short, Cory's game is overall at such a high level. The only possible "hole" in his game would be in the pure wrestling/physicality/grind dept., but even that's incredibly high level. So long as it's elevated enough to counter (not meet head on) the Aljo/Dvashvilli's of the division, he's absolutely capable of beating anyone.
We love what you're doing Corey. Creative way to set a different path in making content outside of fighting. And it's service to other people at that. "Man of the people" type of energy here. 💪🏽
I'm a simple man. I see a Cory Sandhagen video, I click. ...Then comment. Then like. To ensure the algorithm knows what I like, and recommends more Cory Sandhagen videos.
I appreciate that not only do you cover the technical/physical aspects of MMA but also the mental side as well. I really enjoy watching the technicality of MMA but I don't do any martial arts anymore. However, I love that everything you do & talk about in your videos can be applied to normal life & regular physical training. Your passion is quite evident in everything you do. You have gained a fan in me. I look forward to seeing that belt wrapped around your waist but I feel like you've already won at life. All the best!
Wow! Congratulations Corey! It's so wonderful to see you branching out like this👏👏 Love how you're articulating, communicating & sharing wonderful & helpful insights, along with your cool character for all of us to take in & learn from. Good for you! I'm very proud of & happy for you. May your channel grow 💯 THX Cory. Wishing you only the very best in your Championship achievement in 2024❣️👏🙏✌️
u talking about efficiency, responsibility, & time in ur video of how to be a ufc fighter was so informative, im already doing things more productive & taking less time to decide things. ur philosophy on life, being a fighter, & martial arts has changed the way i look at those things, & has helped me learn more about myself & has changed the habits I've gone into 2024 with because of the all the content uve put out like this. really appreciate you putting the shit out that u do man, I really appreciate how you approach martial arts & time/life/how to be better. love from chicago.
Loving these Cory! As someone who’s achievements and intelligence I have always admired and aspired to getting these insights into the details of how you think is so good for us young dreamers! Love ❤
I’d love to see more fighting break downs, ways to switch stances and make your opponent confused. Why it’s important to switch stance. How to set up front and rear uppercut aswell. Love the work cory
Im intending on getting more into boxing, i did a couple months of muay thai, watching cory strike, i can’t pinpoint all the techniques and footworks etc. but you can just tell its an art and he’s at an extremely high level, dont see anyone in the division beating him soon
Way to keep the mind sharp Cory , I like that this is not to abstract and that it is straight to the point insightful content we need to elevate our thinking and ultimately improve our lives well done sir.
This was super helpful Cory! I want to be better at setting goals for myself. More specifically, setting goals for myself in BJJ. I've been doing some research on motivation and goal setting and this video definitely helped.
Thank you, this explanation puts a little more realism into having a big goal, and through what your talking about rather then living your whole life with delayed gratification through striving for a higher goal set “gas stops” like you said to pick up the little wins thorough the journey, this helps because it’s easy to question myself and my growth through the journey. “Step by step walk the 😤thousand mile journey”
Love that you are making videos. You are my favorite fighter inside and outside the cage. Some feedback for what it's worth, minimize saying "okay" so much in your videos. My go to for fillers is "um". It's hard to get rid of but will make video content flow better, (maybe I'm wrong, just an opinion) thank you Cory for being a great role model!
Awesome video Cory, I am using a self-created daily planner to ensure I am training enough, eating enough/right, praying, and reading. So far it’s been helpful!
I like all of this, and I apply it to music learning , but I also value taking some time away from playing. Not too much time. Maybe a day or two here and there. I dont see it as time not working toward goal, but more like taking a breather during a very long hike. Of course none of this would appease David Goggins 😔
Bantamweight champ by the end of 2024 🙌🏻
Definitely if O'Malley keeps the belt
Feel like Cory can give Merab and Umar a serious run for their money! So, who does that leave? No one!
IA
@@whataworld2028 merab might take him ngl he's very good
@@whataworld2028 tbh I don't know how good Umar is, I haven't seen him fight any elite fighters yet, love to see Umar vs Yan though first
bruh this channel is a treasure
