Actually the overheating issue on a7iv is fixed on the a7c ii, there were reviews about it and it can handle overheating better than the a7iv because the heat can now come out of the body
Personally I want 2 card slots because I've had cards fail on me. Its rare but it happens and would suck if it was during a shoot like this where you can't go back and film the scene again.
Exactly! Everyone just repeats it because that is what they hear over and over. Even on my cameras that have dual card slots I’ve never used it for redundant recording, I’ve always had it set it for photos on one card and video on the other which is just a matter of convenience.
@@superstringsbro Nice not needed. I shot a wedding on the A7C. Uploaded footage to my computer at every break and was honest up front with the couple about the fact that I had one card slot in my camera which was completely greek to them.
Great video as always Jeven! Watching it and thinking, oh this might be great for my new A7C II for Christmas. Then I look at the price tag for the lens. 😮 Lens for Christmas only next year. 😂
For that i would definitely DEFINITELY choose the a6700 instead. Even though it's aps-c, it's actually not a downside, but a positive because of the extra reach. It's cheaper, got no crop on 4k60 and also has 4k120 when needed. Low light and bokeh are not quite as good but still plenty enough for sports i think. I'm not a sports photographer but these are my thoughts.
Thank you Jeven! Love these videos where you show us how you use the gear in the wild. I also appreciate how light and minimal you keep the setup. No cage, no external monitor, or any other stuff. I do interviews of tattoo artists and work at tattoo events. This is exactly the kind of setup I need. So yes, I have the Sony A7C2 but with the 16-25mm 2.8 with the ECM-M1 mic. Just awesome for what I do. And thanks for your work with Sown. So meaningful and important. Keep going!
For street photography which of these three lenses would you pick for the A7cii and would you wait for the A7V? **Sony FE 24mm f/2.8 G 5.7 oz **Sony FE 40mm f/2.5 G 6 oz **Sony Zeiss 55mm f/1.8 9.9 oz Total 2.45 lb. And or *Sony Zeiss 35mm f/2.8 4 oz. * Sony FE 50mm f/2.5 G Lens 6 oz Sony FE 85mm f/1.8 13 oz.
I think one huge feature that I lot of people consider a deciding factor is the Dynamic Active Stabilization for gimbal-like performance in the ZV-E1. If the a7cii had this feature, it would be a no-brainer (for me). Are there any other features that you find sets the ZV-E1 apart? Also, did you use the 16-36 PZ F4 at all? It seems (other than 2.8) this is a really good lens for the consumer - lighter & less $ plus PZ comes in handy.
Would you buy this over ZV-E1 for video if 4k 60p no crop and dynamic active stabilization was not your priority...The thing is I am confused between the two cameras...I love the dynamic active on ZV-E1 and I don't really care about the 60p crop factor or no 4k 120p in A7Cii but I love the ergonomics of A7Cii.
Both are good. If you plan to do more photography then the A7CII is a better hybrid camera. I had no problem using this camera over the ZV-E1. Very rarely do I use 120p anymore so not having that in 4k is not a deal breaker. The stabilization is good and the dynamic active in the ZV-E1 isn't much better. Personally if you don't mind the crop in the A7CII then this camera is a solid choice with lots of good options.
just got the A7CII, like a lot except for the size of the buttons, I am used to larger ones like my A7rv , noise is great , better that the rv , do you know when we may get raw converter in Lightroom?
which one do you like more for general work for video? i sold my a7iii because i wanted to get the a7cii but now im leaning more towards the a7rv. i usually do run and gun video work and sometimes photography as a hobby but might get into photography as a job. a7rv seems like a perfect camera to me but its heavy
The mist filter in almost all of these shots appears to be very strong to the point it looks like a dirty lens with finger grease or something. Im not trying to be insulting but is this intentional? People like this look? I understand a mist filter to a point but this seems excessively strong with how bright it is making everything like a dream filter, or am i crazy? sorry.
The main problem I’ve had with the A7C2 is not the card slots or overheating but the quality of the video is impossible and unusable, under exposed ,overexposed, out of focus,I have been shooting video and photos since the fifties.I’ve had dozens of Sony cameras and many other brands .You guys seem only interested in specs not picture quality .My A7C2 is rubbish .Mind you your videos if taken with the A7C2 are better than mine but not by much .I have the A7 4 without the AI processor and the video is perfect.Possibly the artificial intelligence doesn’t like me .Your review is very original in your observations.
this camera is nothing for good common being a video-oriented person who dont want rolling shutter and this camera have a horrible rolling shutter that's the only reason i am not buying this camera , i am just waiting for sony fx3 mark ii , and it will work for me and no looking for 10 years !

Ok. As I said it didn’t overheat for me
pure bs you just split.
can a7cii shoot videos with these settings: 1080p 120fps 4:2:2 ?
Wow how cool the intro about the project and the trip to Rwanda.
Do you lose quality in 60fps 4k ? crop ?
yes
Notice how a whole professional does not need dual card slots but some of you think you need two SD cards for your trip to Bali
Personally I want 2 card slots because I've had cards fail on me. Its rare but it happens and would suck if it was during a shoot like this where you can't go back and film the scene again.
I need 5 card slots for my trip to the grocery store.

Do you think the Sony a7cii would be good for sport’s photography and videography?

No one is talking about the camera A7C2 working in 4K mode on the S35. Is it all the same as in the A6700? If so, then these are two cameras in one.
How are the quality of this lens? Do you recommend this lens over 14mm lens ?
If you want a zoom then yes it’s good.
Thank you Jeven!

That’s my dream Camera I ever since. Very powerful camera 😍😍
Hi, in terms of sharpness and colors for photos and videos, which one do you think is better? The Sony 7Cii or the Sony ZVE1?
A7CII because its a higher MP camera. Its 7k downsampled vs the 4k sensor on the ZVE1
Have you had any issues with rolling shutter on the a7c ii while shooting video in full frame?
Nothing that I noticed
I would be interested in your feelings of the A7CR!
Never tried one
How would you compare the IBIS on this compared a7iv?
Similar

@@JevenDovey Thank you for the suggestion!!! I plan to do video more than photography but the ergonomics are making me get the A7Cii.
do u enjoy it? i have the a7iv but i might not use it. @@akshat1232
a small rig cage with the grip for the zv-e1 solves the ergonomics issue of it imo@@akshat1232 and its not big and bulky like cages of the past

I’m confused between rc and cii. What will you recommend as you have both sensors?
So close to a million subs!
Almost there!
I’m confused. Why is a micro hdmi bad? Is there any difference other than size?
Its small and not as secure. On the A7 IV you have a full size HDMI
easy break the cable or the hdmi port
would you get the zve1 or a7c2
A7cII i got both and returned zve1
Jeven awesome to make a video in East Afrika! I have a question, is it possible to use user luts fot stills?
My LUTs were made for video. You probably could use them for stills since video is just moving stills but I haven't tried.
Perfect moment to drop this kind of video I’m about to film several documentaries 😁
Same here!
Great to test this nice camera to my homeland I wish to be there
You get a sub.
Txs from Holland ( the Netherlands) over 2 weeks I buy 'm. But I keep the old Samsung nx 500 😁

Whatever filter you use is not good. it looks like you need to clean your lens
Its a stylistic choice.
It's a Sony A74 in a bit more compact package.
Yes but a few features taken out
