I agree. This is a Hasidic problem, not overall Judaism. I'm British Jewish from a secular/reform family but I've become more observant (but not "orthodox") over the years. I was at a Shabbat dinner once and there were Hasidic guests there and the host spoke Yiddish. I asked him where they were from. He said Manchester! I told him "them not speaking English is not doing them any favours". Madness!
