There's literally only a *single time* where we can see how they feel in Undertale. Kris, on the other hand, is an actual person. They have their own thoughts, their own feelings, their own backstory. But we, as the soul, are basically stripping them of their control. They have to watch as we live their life in their own body. They have to watch as we interact with their family and their friends. And they can't do anything to stop our control, except for ripping us out, and possibly risking death. And don't even get me started on the Snowgrave route. You basically force Kris to psychology manipulate their childhood best friend to kill an entire city, along with Noelle's friend, Berdly, later on. Not only is this traumatizing for Noelle, but it's for Kris too. Making Kris watch as we manipulate their childhood best friend and being absolutely powerless to stop us is pretty dark in my opinion.
