- One of my friends recommended the channel of Dan Holloway (YT-DanCHolloway) to me because he wanted to play his version of EC's Layla. So I checked out all his videos and played ... Fields Of Gold instead. I changed the arrangement a bit to fit my playing. I hope you'll like it!

I have been playing guitar since I was 10 years old. I am now 51. I never really got serious with fingerpicking. I taught my daughter to play when she was 14. She recently passed away at the age of 23. You will be my inspiration to concentrate on fingerpicking and I will make it a tribute to my daughter to play as beautifully as you play. Thank you.

Hansel, In 2009 I had to put down my Golden Retiever "Higgins" after 14 years of unconditonal love and devotion. He was suffering with cancer. I think of him and how he loved to romp in the fields. Though we have another dog now, You're version of this song filled me with tears, but also with memories of a faithful loving friend who carried me through tough times in my life. I just wanted to say "Thank You" You have a real gift! I'd love to be able to download it to keep with his photos.

This is a beautiful version Hanz, I think you got everything just right - if it's done too slowly it's too melancholy, and if it's too fast the mood is all wrong. This one is just right, it flows beautifully, with a brightness. perfect.
