Just back from beach festival nieuwpoort and they will always be the best band ever, no doubt about that

Get it on your bucket list asap. Lost count of how many times I have seen them in large arena's, outdoor concerts, smaller personal club type venue's. Got hooked with "don't you forget about me" from the Breakfast club as I was working in the states at the time. Go do it and have the experience of a lifetime.

I'm in the audience, stood at the front somewhere. A group of us were following Simple Minds around Europe in 1991. We found out about this video shoot in Hamburg and somehow convinced the SM tour manager to put us on the guest list. Met Jim Kerr outside the stage door - all I remember is being too starstruck to get my words out when Jim asked me a question and him laughing at me.
SM is one of my favorite bands! Have not seen them live....yet; if I recall past tours they did not include the US? Anyway, of the most UNDER RATED bands ever. Love em!
That's surprising, because I've read that they are the most successful band Scotland ever produced. They did have some hits in America, so I am surprised when you said they never played here.
