      Mr Jesse. I suggest you find wing chun fighters who also have adapted their martial arts for sports competition and have actually competed and fought in the ring. The man in this video doesn't do any of us justice. I'd volunteer myself but sadly I have too many injuries to even think about sparring or competing anymore and just practice for my own health and exercise. But, if you look for sport Kung fu fighters in the US that know wing chun, I'm sure you can find them. Good luck sir. Love your videos..keep up the good work and thanks for being a shining light in the martial arts world.

    Shoving someone and following up with the head kick is a great move. I try and use it in sparring all the time. Shove and low kick works great too. Way to go guys.

      I used to do the same thing but I’d always get pointed for it. You apparently couldn’t maintain stable footing in a block/punch combo and had to push yourself back rather than the opponent which honestly just seems flawed to me. I mean yeah in certain scenarios I can see how it’d be beneficial but in most I’m gonna wanna shove the opponent away/off balance so I can get in that really good kick on them

      Not really - The WC guy didn't do anything. He was on the defensive mode and no kicks or anything. You will get hit, it doesn't matter how good your defensive moves are. You need to go on the offensive.

      @@Vibrapion i got comatosed from defending myself against a rapist, male vs female, unknown vs karate, 175/180cm vs 164cm, I lost, so I had a firsthand experience of size factor, death was my only option, fear mechanism went out the window, the odd woulda been better were I compatible

    My Sifu, who taught me Wing Chun, often said "NEVER be overconfident or underestimate ANY other martial art. Boxer, wrestler, Karate, whatever, he's got a range and a strategy that will BEAT your strategy--if you let him. Don't play HIS game, make HIM play YOUR game.

      According to what i know, wing Chun only had a couple kicks like side kick, front kick, inside/inner kick, and last outside/outter kick. And in that little range he can do lower kick like the inside/inner and outside/outter kick.

      Not standing straight up and down and full forward in a fight he's not! But I get how one could think that if one has never been in a fight before! Karate guy has a bladed stance. Moves in and out of range and finds balance in each step which allows him to strike with a lil more power! I'm only a fan of a few karate techniques!

      @@EricJohnson-tb9sj Former prison guard here. Have seen some action... Look how fast his kicks to head are. That is impressive. That does not mean that he can fight. Or that i would recommend such techniques in a real fight. But there is some serious skills when it comes to the nerd and i think he deserves some respect for that. He has put in the work.

      His WC is not great, even though he trains with one of the best WC instructors in the world. His kickboxing and grappling seem much better in other videos I’ve seen of him.

    Jesse and Wonderboy has some of the best kicks I’ve seen. Such a joy to watch. The wing chun guy is very fast, but size and range is the deciding factor here, I think atleast.

      Sadly, Wing Chun is affected by McDojo more than most other styles. Especially because most people don't understand the style. They go at it as if it's Kyokushin where you just overpower the enemy. Some people think Wing Chun is unbeatable and make it more vulnerable because of that.

    Wing Chun can work when you move forward aggressively, closing the distance and robbing your opponent of his balance. But this can only be achieved through intensive sparring.

      It's not a practical art at all. Fighting square with your opponent like that will get you kicked punched or tackled easier. I guarantee in a real situation he wouldn't stand that way long.
