► About NAMM 2020
The NAMM Show is one of the largest music product trade shows in the world, founded in 1901. It is held every January in Anaheim, California, USA, at the Anaheim Convention Center. In addition, a smaller show, Summer NAMM takes place each July in Nashville, Tennessee.
► Who is Aaron Smith
Aaron “Stix” Smith had a passion for music at a very early age. He began playing drums at the age of two years old. Born in Muncie Indiana he grew up playing in church. He learned very quickly the concept of drumming, and playing drums consistently at church at the age of 6.
Aaron began playing and recording professionally at the age of 10, giving him a platform to learn more and stretch his musical abilities. Once he reached the age of 17, he began to travel nationally playing for various gospel groups and also touring. By the time he was 18 Aaron was given the opportunity to teach drum clinics all over the U.S. Aaron transferred from Berklee College Of Music to Indiana University to finish his college degree in music.
He has played and recorded for a number of well-known groups and artists including Scott Guynn and Weapons, Brian Reeves & Heart After God, Doobie Powell and The Williams Singers. Currently Aaron tours with the widely popular quartet group The William Singers. He is working on and producing his first solo album entitled, 765, which will pay tribute to his hometown.
Aaron credits his musical gifts and opportunities to God. It is his goal to be a well-rounded musician and producer that can create music that can appeal to all ethnicities and bring people together. It is his belief that through faith and hard work all these things are possible.
