I have been running this for over a year and it works flawlessly. I also use puragen by sechem in the canister filters on both of my tanks. The water is crystal clear in both tanks.
Just Bought the green machine for my tank seems to be making a difference already . I had a problem with my tank for the past few months I've been trying to solve the problem with water changes and less light but it didn't help . Green killing machine works ,i highly recommend it
I thought I was seeing things in my water column as well, but when I viewed the aquarium from the front it looked crystal clear...As I looked through the aquarium from either end, (or side) I'd also see a greenish tinge. You confirmed that this is an algae bloom going on. I'm considering the possibility of an uv sterilizer as well. Truth be known however, my canister filter has an uv sterilizer built right into it however, I'm trying not to run the UVS any longer than I can as the manufacturer suggests "as little as possible " which keeps the UVC Light from damaging the surrounding plastic trays. I'm therefore also considering the GREEN KILLING Machine 9 watt myself.
I'm runnin the same on in my 60 tall.. its great.. didn't think it made a difference till I stopped using it.. needless to say. I'm gunna keep runnin it
I just bought this and installed it. How do I know the uv light is actually on? I do not see any glow coming out of it anywhere. I just want to make sure it’s actually working.
I see no reason why this method shouldn't work for you. You always struck me as the kind of fish keeper that only prefers pristine water...at all cost😉.
Hi .. thanks for your video .. i search about uv and i think it may be kill good bacteria to ... so i alwayes turn it on jut one day per week ... may be i was wright or may be i am wrong ..but if realy kill good bacteria it will damage nytrogin sycle in the tank ... ... best regards
@@Tahamt The bacteria that consume fish waste live within/on surfaces like sand, gravel, filter media, aquarium glass, sponges etc. UV sterilizers can only effect waterborne organisms. If they sterilized beneficial bacteria, they would cease to exist on the market. Also, the only time you should worry about them is when adding bacteria in the bottle products like Seachem Stability or Dr. Tim's Waste Away etc; then, you'd leave the UV off for at least 48 hrs. after dosing your tank.
I'm worried about marine ich. I hope this thing helps. Definitely overpriced when compared to models found on Amazon. In terms of my freshWater fish, I let those fuckers hang out til I do water changes. Total cost of all the fish in my fresh tank is like $10. Lowest cost marine fish I have is like $30, so I'm way more invested in my salties.

Imagination Playhouse I don’t know, I couldn’t see the light either.
There is a green led on the power pack thingee. If it is on, your light is on.
How do I know if it’s working/on? Is there a button I press or a light that has color on it?
Sadly no. You can look in it at an angle and see a bit of light.
Tengo uno igual como puedo saber que la luz enciende?
Nice review!
Aquariums With Ty thanks
How tall is the unit?

wyzemann thanks!
I'd just leave the algae/tank to balance itself out - the algae is the fixer not the problem.
MELODY MUNRO an algae bloom will not fix itself

T m.t the uv bulb inside a canister filter is in a tube that blocks the light from shining on the media, you’ll be fine.
