Heard an interview in which Justin said he wrote the riff for this song while he waited for the plane to fly to LA to try out for Tool.

I'd say the biggest difference wih early Tool is the aggressiveness and anger in their music. They were mostly in their 20s and Maynard had little patience for "roadbumps" in his life experiences, to put it mildly. And yeah, listening Tool is a full sit-down meal. You're not allowed to eat the potatoes w/out the steak, veggies, and wine. 😄

What does 46 & 2 mean?
We have 46 chromosomes and the 2 is referring to masculine and feminine unity. He didn't mean 48 as he says, but means 46 plus the masculine feminine unification, 2. Jung refers to this as the syzygy in Aion.Dec 2, 2022

I originally thought it referenced 46 chromosomes and 2 genes. But this is a riff on a theory from the philosopher Carl Jung.

this song is based on a bad experience at baskin robbins that manard had. he originally wrote it as a review for the LA times but his band liked it and they turned it into the song
