You keep uploading the solos I used to watch religiously in high school. Thanks dude! Although I mostly watched the version of this that Wynton did in the 90s
@@AlexeyStepin I'm the same way. I like the simple but intricate melodies, interesting chord changes, etc of old school jazz. Pretty much swing, bossa nova, and up to hard bop era. Modern jazz feels too unengaging and "outer space" to me. Thanks again!
No I think that it is him. It doesn't happen when he's playing higher notes. So unless it's just a problem with certain frequency it's probably just he's growling and it's really hard to growl high notes. (You try gurgling while blowing a raspberry while keeping your lips as tight as possible.)
@@AlexeyStepin 1:42 last two notes are g# F, 1:54 last two notes are not in that bar but on the first beat of the next bar, middle note of triplet at 2:00 is E, not D, 2:10 E7 bar second note is g#, last “ghost” note of 2:14 is Bb, 2:18 Fm bar last note Ab, 2:40 first note is not rest but A, 3:03 weird tempo bar (I like the way you “comment”) there is an F in there, two bars later last note is actually two eight notes with last one F (-ish), 3:55 last note is Eb, is what I hear in one run through. Maybe when playing slower some more and some other notes are discussable. I hear an Ab somewhere see wynton fingers play A…

I love this style of simple jazz! Not really a big fan of modern jazz. Maybe because i came from classical music into jazz 3 years ago.

the human race needs WM ! truth through the horn, music, and deed .
kyle poole on drums, russel hall on bass and patrick barley on sax is crazy
Amen to hard swingin' !!
Is the mic at the gentleman with black suit too close (loud) or seems to sound gravel like? I don’t think he does that

I think he just has a super sizzely tone
it’s on purpose. louis armstrong played like that
Y'all need to go listen to Louis Armstrong sing
i love his tone, he made this by purpose
It's crazy how this music goes over the head of many people who otherwise claim to love rhythm.
👍👍👍👏👏👏🫶🫶🫶

that young playing trumpet is whack... sounds like trash
Why? I like his tone, some phrases are certainly crumpled, but I think everyone would be worried if Marsalis was sitting a meter away)
