Great video bro 💯 if I could give advice to those buying tools for the first time is "slow down" don't just buy everything at once, take a week or 2 to compile everything by searching deals in different places for every item. You'd be surprised how many people give up barbering because they got into it for the wrong reasons and they end up selling their tools for a fraction of the price. Talk to people going to barber college as they also transition through tools and get rid of their "old" ones fast. If you're afraid of buying used items think of it as an opportunity to break down and service your tools which you'll have to learn anyways 😉 don't buy something your going to end up not using in a short period of time.
Cheap or expensive doesn't matter . What matters is skills , knowledge and expertise 👍 thumbs up you are great barber

I actually copped that limural hair clippers kit last month to cut my own hair. I copped during the prime day sale for about $47. I’m a novice when it come to cutting hair, but it worked pretty well for me.

I remember when I first started 😂 my first pair of clippers, where old and they were under the sink-clipper was from Walmart, trimmer idk but it was broken i would have too hold the blade down when lining myself up. I’m not going to lie I’d cut my forehead here and there🤣🤣

Personally get shears from walmart or Sally’s from walmart it’s like 20$ and from Sally’s it’s like 50$ for some cricket rose gold ones(blue color comes less sharp for some reason just trust the rose gold is sharper) just my recommendation cause I barely started last year and jesus I needed better scissors 😂

I'm making a crossover from cosmetology to barber. I've been out of cosmetology for a long time but I have a lot of supplies. My cosmetology license expired years ago and I need to take the state board to go back.
I am going to go to barber school and get a dual license. The biggest purchase will be clippers and beard stuff.
I have good hair cutting scissors and thinners. I have cheap safety razors because cosmetologist aren't allowed to use razors without a safety guard.
Barber supplies are cool and different. I'm going to ace barber school. There are many skills that are similar the rest I'll learn.
I'm motivated motivated more and more.
