Absolutely LOVE my Scottie! A word mentioned many times in this video describes them perfectly - PERSONALITY!!!! And while they aren't the best dogs to protect you from someone breaking in, you can rest assured that you had a lot of warning before the intruder made their way in. These little balls of tenacity will let you know if anyone or anything is stirring someplace nearby that they don't belong, and they are ranked #3 in alertness capabilities behind the German Shepherd and Rottweiler.

I’ve owned several dogs but my Scottie has been the best dog. He’s everything they say in this video. One thing you can’t do is yell at them when you correct them. You can be firm but no scolding. One inaccuracy in the video is the comment about them curling up in your lap. They are not usually lap dogs. They are also fine being left alone and won’t freak out if you’re gone for a few hours. They are a lot of fun, very smart, very sweet and they love to play. Great family dog!!!
Scottie’s is the best dog to have. Understand they are stubborn and hard to train, they have their own agenda and want to do what they like to do. I have loved all 4 of the Scottie’s that have been part of our family.
A friend has one so I could tell you their fur is wiry stiff and like a wool blanket they don't shed I heard they're good for people who have allergies
We have had 3 scottie and they are non allergic. Our son has asthma and none of them bothered him. He now has a golden doodle of his own and they also are non allergetic.

Are they good if you have dog allergies? I'm allergic to dogs, but I'd still like to get one, and I heard scotties have minimal dander
