The new song "Stranger" from Dimash is not full opera but still epic. And good news over the years Dimash English is much better now, but he can sing in 12 languages and speak 4 and with all the other things he does it takes more time for him to learn. He can even speak English now.

They were individual competitors on a survival elimination show called "Phantom Singer" whose goal was to create a crossover vocal quartet like II Divo. They compete 1 v. 1, then the survivors move on to recruit for duos, then trios... and finally the Quartet. The guy 2nd from the right (Mingyu) won every round and that gave him the chance to recruit the others. Left to right Woorim - Classically trained Basso Profundo Hyungho - Rock Countertenor (zero training until he joined the group) Mingyu - Leader and Classically trained Leggiero Tenor (he and Woorim went to the same school) Doohoon - Musical Theater Actor, Baritenor They are lightning in a bottle. The show has turned out several great quartets, but none have the widespread appeal of Forestella. They continue to enter competitions, put out albums and even toured N. America last year. They intend to keep performing, but they are a man down for the next year+ as their Bass, Woorim, completes his Mandatory Military service.
This is one of the best covers for sure!!! This song is very iconic & not so many managed to do it justice! But Forestella did such an amazing job interpreting this song with their own style without losing the integrity of the original! This is Forestella, a crossover group from Korea. They are the winner group in the Phantom Singer 2; a survival audition show to form a crossover quartet like il Divo from Korea. However as they have their own unique style, they won't be Korean il Divo, they will be the Forestella of the world! Forestella has sung great covers like Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Champions, Heal the World, the Sound of Silence, My Favorite Things, Champions (mash-up of Champs league theme and Champions by Jo SuMi), Nella Fantasia, Scarborough Fair..etc etc. At the Phantom Singer All Stars they sang Time in a bottle, Je suis Malade as well. My favorite stage was Shape of You in English, Spanish and isiZulu by Forestella. But Smooth Criminal became my best favorite for now.
The bass and the tenor you commented on at the end are both classically trained. The guy with the huskier emotional voice is a musical actor. The real surprise here is the other tenor with the rock/falsetto voice. He doesn't have any musical training at all! He comes by that amazing voice naturally!

This was a live competition performance, winner chosen by live audience. No sound engineering trick was allowed as it is unfair to competing performers. They were too good so you suspected the sound was modified after recording?
even though they can nail it completely live (i adore them), korean shows like Immortal Songs, King of Masked Singer etc. are heavily tuned. They tune even the best ones. But since it's some time ago it might be not as heavy as it is nowadays
@@crazyr2113 I find it annoying that even top notch singers like Forestella and their fellow Phantom Singer ex contestants (who are all amazing singers too) get tuned. There's their vlives and enough concert fancams to prove their live singing skills so I don't really see that many "MR removed" videos. There are some videos of them singing live but the background music is so soft and some fans would joke in the comment section that it is lowkey MR removed.
@@mxgirl918 it really is sad. But it's the force to be perfect there, every single show is true. You can only trust raw live/acapellas without mic or something. It makes me sad, especially since the raw version is sometimes even more beautiful. But the hate for a wrong note comes so fast from disillusioned fans/haters/whatever. And never trust MR Removed ones haha. For Forestella, I'd trust the concert fancam, for idols, I wouldn't even trust them
@@crazyr2113 I don't 100% trust MR removed either. I only watch to see how much the idol is really singing while dancing. It just an observation because some K-pop fans feel this need to "justify" their idols' vocal skills or supposedly prove an idols' lack of vocal skills with all those MR. Meanwhile everyone knows Forestella are freaking amazing live singers with or without accompaniment so no one feels the need to do MR to justify their live vocals. 😂 I remember once on a radio show when the sound system crapped out on them and they kept on singing like nothing happened.

The one who hit the high note is the guy in front with the rocker voice. He has a vocal range and quality that can cover baritone, tenor, rock, pop and counter tenor hitting from A2 to C6.
My 86 year old sister and I love Forestella and Dimash. I'm not aware of your issues with Dimash and his English. I guess you watched him on The Singer Chinese show four years ago when he only had a week to learn an English song. His new song Stranger is epic. I hope you get back to reacting to him. This is an Immortal Songs 2 performance and they are always a live performance... S. Koreans are really down on lip syncing though many Idol groups do have backing tracks they 99.9 % of the time actually sing. Speaking of Immortal Songs 2 you have reacted to So Hyang once .. I hope to see more .. her cover of Everyone on the show is considered her signature song and the very best performance on it .. also other vocalist to take note of are ALi (Cho Yong Jin .. her real name ) she is considered the Queen of the show and has won more trophys than any female artist on it 13 now I believe... Binari is a good pick .. her and So Hyang competed with that and Everyone that episode .. also Son Suengyeon she earned her title The Beast in the show with her powerful vocals and lastly So Hyangs best friend Park Ki Young she is a Rock and Pop artist but seeing as you are a Classical artist you may like her cover of Nella Fantasia on Immortal Songs 2 .. she took some classical training because it was her dream to sing the song publicly ... enough of my rambling

It’s live. They don’t use auto tunes because they mastered in harmonizing their voices.

This is an Immortal Songs 2 performance and they are always a live performance... S. Koreans are really down on lip syncing though many Idol groups do have backing tracks they 99.9 % of the time actually sing. Speaking of Immortal Songs 2 you have reacted to So Hyang once .. I hope to see more .. her cover of Everyone on the show is considered her signature song and the very best performance on it .. also other vocalist to take note of are ALi (Cho Yong Jin .. her real name ) she is considered the Queen of the show and has won more trophys than any female artist on it 13 now I believe... Binari is a good pick .. her and So Hyang competed with that and Everyone that episode .. also Son Suengyeon she earned her title The Beast in the show with her powerful vocals and lastly So Hyangs best friend Park Ki Young she is a Rock and Pop artist but seeing as you are a Classical artist you may like her cover of Nella Fantasia on Immortal Songs 2 .. she took some classical training because it was her dream to sing the song publicly ... enough of my rambling
