Dounia, thank you . I enjoy your style of reacting. Fun fact: these 4, especially at their very beginning, were practice freaks…345 days out of the year. As time went on they of course made changes. 😊I’m sure you know by now they that they were formed on a tv survival type competition Phantom Singer 2 in 2017. The 2 opera singers Ko Woorim , the basso profundo and their leader Cho MinGyu, a leggiero tenor, are alumni of Seoul National University’s College of Music where they both attained their Bachelor and Masters degrees of Music for Voice , classical, albeit 6 years apart. A friend brought MinGyu to hear Ko Woorim at a recital …so they became acquainted. Woorim continued his 3rd year Bachelors studies in 2017 while auditioning and competing and MinGyu who had been working as an opera singer at the Seoul Metropolitan Opera deferred his preparations for pursuing postgraduate studies in Germany to also audition. There they met the then amateur and part time self-trained tenor soprano/rocksinger Kang HyungHo (who had a degree in chemical engineering who worked for 4 years as a research chemist) and Bae Doohoon ( studied musical theatre majoring in acting) who has a versatile baritenor voice. Three are married now to their long term loves, so schedules had to be adjusted, but they are still intensely busy with each member also trying to fit solo careers around their Forestella activities. They are crossover, not mainstream, so have an uphill battle getting the same exposure or charting as many K-pop boy and girl groups and bands have been able to. To date, Bad Romance is the most viewed and seemingly most popular video due to TikTok etc over 21 million views, followed by Despacito at over 12 million ..both of which I never liked the originals….but Forestella’s versions .🥰. The other style I like are from their early days of starting out competing on Immortal Songs, which they still do and are still the unsurpassed 6x consecutive winners of the King of Kings trophy…the holy grail for contestants. I recommend the Korean song, FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND….Immortal Songs 2 on 20181110 on the KBS K-pop channel. There is also a beautiful music video of a live performance Moonlight (using the olde Greensleeves tune) filmed at and uploaded by ZIUM on 20221210…It has English subtitled lyrics…they are singing in English. Enjoy😊
Thank you for checking out Forestella, I really love your analysis of their performances! I would highly recommend checking out their performances of Hijo De La Luna, Maldita Sea Mi Suerte (this perfomance always makes me cry), Inner Universe, Parla Piu Piano, Utopia, Lazenca Save Us, Legends Never Die, Nella Fantasia, and L'immensita. They are some of my favorites and they even have solo songs as well.
How are you all keeping up? Are you safe, for the time being? You know, when my ex wife was pregnant, she was so sick that she spend half a year in hospital. Every day I brought her dinner, because there was so few things she was able to eat. Then I had to tuck her in and sing "Baby dont worry about a thing", by Bob Marley until she fell asleep. I have a terrible voice, but it had to be me. Music is a strange and powerful thing. And what is good music?
Hello Dounia, I was blown away by this group-they simply sound wonderful, incredible. Without a doubt, they have great technique and a lot, a lot of hard work behind achieving such perfection. But as you mentioned, it’s not just about their splendid vocal technique; it’s also about how they interpret the song and what they convey when singing it-truly amazing. Speaking of interpretation and conveying emotions, I’d like to suggest you listen to the interpretation of this same song by the group Ke Personajes and their vocalist Emanuel Noir. I think it might surprise you. Here’s the link: ruclips.net/video/1sd3NIflMmk/видео.html. Greetings from Mexico City!

Greetings from Mexico City!
when do you react to chakra khan again? 😊😊😊
Now you can react to Angelina Jordan's version of Bohemian Rhapsody, but you might want to be prepared first!
