      @@extracheese5284 I noticed that. It's not just him, lots of people seem to do it now. They pause not at the end of the sentence but just before the final word or phrase... and then they run on to the next sentence immediately. When people do this in real life it makes it really hard to interrupt them (perhaps that's why they do it). When they do it in videos, it's irritating if you need to pause to see to a stove or phone call, because it's impossible to stop it at the best moment. I have no idea whether they know they're doing it, and I suppose it's just a style...

      If you travel in time it will instantly create a infinite amount of you in the time choosen because the you from a split second before you traveled back in time would also go back to the same exact time you chose. Then a other you from split second before would do the same to infinity. Since the processes will continue until your birth is thrown off track it will likely cause a sun to be created . A sun would likely be created because the infinite about of you's would be put in one spot and overlap causing nuclear fusion
      (the processes element's go through to make a sun)
      You could try to say the time machine wont send you to a spot that already has matter. that would work for the first you but the next one wouldn't think you weren't there in the way until a infant fraction of a second before he travel witch is too fast to even notice (if there even checking for in the way matter any more)
      My point is a time traveler will die and stop existing simultaneously at the very moment they traveled In both straight line time theory and freedom theory

    Here is a Paradox:
    A: "B is lying"
    B: "A said the truth"

    • @rodschmidt8952
      @rodschmidt8952 3 года назад +33

      A: "B will be lying"

    • @jp18b52
      @jp18b52 3 года назад +41

      But A stated that “B is lying”. So, if we stipulate that that is true, then since (by that stipulation) A is telling the truth (in stating that “B is lying”), so is B! (revealing the paradox).
      The only “solution” to the paradox set up by the two statements above (if I’m correct in calling it a “solution”) is to step outside the mutually referencing truth value situation set up by the statements made by A and B, and assume that both A and B are lying (i.e., that neither A’s claim nor B’s claim can be verified or confirmed to be true).

    • @user-ut2mk6fm4y
      @user-ut2mk6fm4y 3 года назад +17

      Simple.
      A and B make statements only about the intent of the other. And it can only be about the intent, not the other statement itself. After all, one of them has to make its statement about the other statement first with the other statement not yet existing.
      Solution:
      A intents and believes to say the truth and says the actual truth.
      B intents and believes to lie but says the actual truth as B was given incorrect information.
      You get like 4 possible similar solutions.

      Now here is my theory...
      The delayed choice quantum eraser was one of several experiments that prove that the future events can affect the past, suggesting that the past has not been set in stone.
      We are constantly believing things for years before making new scientific discoveries that prove us wrong and make us realize what "actually happened". I reckon someone could effectively create a "time machine" by harnessing the laws of quantum physics but it would have an unexpected effect on reality i.e. one would realize that everything perceived was actually not quite as it seemed.
      Just placing this comment is already tearing the very fabric of space & time.

    Alternatively: the past, present, and future all exist, on one timeline. You don't *move* through the timeline, because moving *requires the flow of time*. Everything exists statically in space time - there are no changes because time just exists, it doesnt flow, kind of like left and right. But because of the way things are set up, the shape of our brain's worldline compels us to perceive time as flowing forward.

Our bodies are limited, and im guessing before the word time existed, people studied the aging process of our body and came up with the word "time" to describe the decay of our bodies, more like keeping track of how long we have left to do certain things.

      Future and Past probably exists always. think of it as a road, the road is already there, its you who change your position relative to the road.
      You can only travel to the future, but not to the past, we're 3 dimensional, not 4.

    • @jerotoro2021
      @jerotoro2021 5 лет назад +4

      Think about it though, if I exist simultaneously through all points in my own life... Spacetime is a thing, a 4 dimensional entity. So as time went on, I would not be travelling forward through time, but stretching across time, since I'd have to exist at all temporal points in my timeline at once. Since the energy contained in my body is not being reduced as time moves on, I can reasonably assume that I am staying the same through time, and not being stretched out by time. Therefore if I exist in the present (and I know I do), I cannot exist in the past or future. Reality is like a wave travelling across the ocean. if you go back to a point where the wave once was, you'd find nothing. No wave. Same is true if you went into the future. Nothing would exist yet, until the wave hit that point in time. Makes sense to me.

    Also you kind of touched on it but you did it as part of a different problem so I want to point out this as well: In the "fixed timeline" theory where the past is already written and you can't change it, the "self time loop" problem exists also, and in fact MUST happen for the past to happen. In the universal timeline, you've already appeared at that point in the past, even if in your personal timeline you haven't done it yet. So not only can you not change the past when you travel back to it, but you traveling to the past ensures the same events occur again and again and again, over and over.

    The way i think about time travel is like this:
    Time is just a concept, telling someone to travel through time would be like telling someone to taste the color blue. It’s not perceivable through that sensory intake. Maybe our minds can travel though time by thinking of it, but our body’s exist on a different plane. Thoughts are conceptualization of the physically possible, and impossible. You can imagine stuff that simply cannot happen, time is the same way. You only perceive time through objects change. If nothing in the universe moved, time would cease to exist to the sentient mind.

    I like to believe that going back in time to a certain point will freeze that point in time for you to manipulate it however you want, and once you go back to present time the past timeline resumes and changes your time line. This way your future self doesn’t actually exist in that past time line, everything will freeze and resume without anyone in the past time line seeing you, and you can change the past to affect your own future.

    Saying that time moves at a constant rate doesn’t really make sense, you have to specify in relation to what.
    Time does move at a constant rate in relation to time (t/t = 1) but everything “moves” at a constant rate in relation to itself.
    Technically, because of relativity, the passage of time is not constant in the strictest sense because some objects experience the passage of time differently depending on how fast they are going.

    My favorite idea of time and for time travel is what I call "Time is a Tree" theory. There are many timelines that branch off from one center point, the big bang. Each different variation of what could've been creates a new timeline i.e. Some timelines have Earth too close or too far from the Sun so no humans exist in those timelines. So time travel would essentially just be the ability to move freely between these branches and creating new ones when attempting to alter something

    Is there a timeline where Vsause3 makes videos monthly?
    _we’re about to find out_

    My favorite is the ability to go back and observe but never able to interact with or effect the timeline. It makes the most sense, we observe this kind of time travel every day. Everything you see hear and touch happened in the past.

    -Time Travel
    -Past
    -Future

    This channel deserves WAY more than it gets. It bothers me every god damn day the quality he puts into his work for a payoff that just doesn't match up.

    The key to fixing all paradoxes is to keep going, you would not be able to revisit yourself and fix something, because yourself is already doing it, so it's ok to just keep going.

    Hey man, THIS IS AWSOME. I've an interesting question for your research videos. Had anyone developed a "Glasses" that separate your eyes' vision into separate ones (like horses or dogs have) to test how our brain would react to having different vision in each eye?
