This is interesting. I can't even imagine how you got the idea to do reactions to Balkan music :). But great :). I recommend reacting to Ekatarina Velika or EKV short, song "Ti si sav moj bol"
I got the idea from people asking for me to react to balkan and slavic songs on my tiktok lives, and i thought why not make it into a series! Im loving doing it so far! :)
@@EmmaAGould Hello. I see you like music that is more like rock. I would suggest a few bands: Smak, Yu grupa, Kerber, Galija, Riblja Čorba. It would be nice to do a show with songs from these bands. I believe you would like their songs.
Oliver was kind of cultural icon in Croatia/Dalmatia and former Yugoslavia, i am not sure but his song Cesarica is perhaps most viewed Croatian song on RUclips, more than 40 milion Views for a song from country that is small . Btw Denis & Denis any song if you like Ivana Brkić but a bit more 80's
Ti si mi u mislima is one of the most iconic ex Yu songs, easily. The dance floor is my proof. Pozdrav from Belgrade where we listen to this icon non-stop, God bless his soul.
for some rock/rock balads/punk try: prljavo kazaliste (marina, sve je lako kad si mlad, crno bijeli svijet, mi plesemo) crvena jabuka (dirlija, zovu nas ulice, 6:00) bijelo dugme (lipe cvatu, djurdjevdan je, ne spavaj mala moja) for some trash/party music(since i saw you like this type of music): vesna pisarovic (jutro donosi kraj, dolje na koljena) electroteam (tek je 12 sati, da ti nisam bila dovoljna) ivana banfic (sumica, godinama) magazin (maslacak, minus i plus) and for some hiphop/dance music try listening to some songs from the band called "Dubioza kolektiv", most popular song on croatian are "himna generacije" and "volio bih" but they have song on english and other languages just some of the song i would reccomend cause i grew up with them but theres a lot more ❤❤
Hm..🤔 I don't know who chooses the music you will listen to, but this is a very bad mix - mix A class (Dino Dvornik, Oliver D.) with some anonymous girls, honor exceptions (there is a saying in the Balkans - mix grandmas and frogs 'babe i žabe' -originally pronounced(I guess because that expression rhymes (in our language))) Balkan music has had, especially in the past, very high-quality releases, but as time goes on, it is becoming more and more felt on a shund, kitsch (on a trash). Until the beginning of the 90s, our local music was of the same quality as the mainstream in the US and the UK..and then everything started to collapse in the music world - but unfortunately this is also the case all over the world: newer music is getting worse... And that's why retro in music (and in everything in general) is more popular today than ever before in history ( and I say that as a young man) A similar example would be if you mixed Mozart with a beggar singing on the street, and then say - those are all examples of classical music -- no! - there is Balkan music, but there is also Balkan trash (as everywhere in the world, there are good and bad sides to something) - and because of bad examples, even those good examples darken and succeed in a hidden, evil goal - to present Balkan music in general, as something bad, something tragicomic (only which is not said honestly, but it is done covertly - in this way people who are not from here are led to come to such a conclusion by themselves, while listening this video) But... who cares about all that - let everyone do what they want, and I will try to work on myself and not on others P.S. my english is not that bad.. but🥴 P.S.S. You are a very pleasant young lady, my respect 😁😷😷 🤐

Since you are calling it Balkan music, you have to react to Balkan by Azra
Oliver Dragojević je INSTITUCIJA
Oliver Dragojević is to the former Yugoslavia as Elton John is to the United Kingdom.
And dear Emma, the songs she performs Aleksandra Prijović is usually trash, with Eastern rhythms.
I loved Oliver, I thought his voice was beautiful 😍

Voli te tvoja zver - Divlji Andjeli, Kolo - Van Gogh
Amazing,i like how u sense and enjoy music...Keep it up beautiful ;)
I love Severina. She is one of my favourites!
Oliver is like the Beatles. A classic and probably the best musician of all time from Yugoslavia.
Emma se pali na TURBO FOLK
Aleksandra Prijović is the daughter in law of Lepa Brena who is the biggest star of the former Yugoslavia by far!
Teya Dora - Moje more. ...cisto da se zna da je svetsko a nase
Hvala!
