Please be careful with that molding gel!! That’s definitely an allergic reaction to the chemicals in that Particular brand. But if that happens more and more frequent, it’s possible to develop an allergy to all types of gel! It’s happened to me with a much cheaper brand and I literally had to give up nails for months and months, and now I have to be very careful not to get any on my skin. The smallest amount can cause a reaction now.

I used a cheap acrylic kit and I broke out every time I did nails after that I gave myself a break and then I tried again using young nails and I'm fine now I also use gellen builder gels and many gel Polish brands !! Luckily I think I caught my reaction and didn't make it a permanent thing
I definitely can relate. I have an allergic reaction to acrylic and gel products. So I have to do a fake base to protect my nail bed and basically put the product on a full covered press on nail.

hey! so i used to do my own nails all the time with only poly gel, and i did a little experiment after having this allergic reaction as well… it’s not the gel that’s causing it, it’s the liquid used to keep the gel from sticking!! i found a way around it tho, using a wooden stick and dipping it in the liquid and then molding the poly gel like that will make sure you can mold it without getting the liquid everywhere and causing this to happen (:
Omg I'm glad you're talking about this brand Vettsy because they just launched this holographic cat eye gel that I've never seen anywhere before (it's a holo cat eye where the actual magnetic particles are holographic, not just a silver magnetic gel with regular holo pigment in it) and I didn't know whether I could trust this brand or not as I've never seen it reviewed by someone I trust
I’ve tried one of their polygel kits too. I do think they were reliable from my experience & the kits they sell come with so much stuff!! As Emily said, they are a little soft-ish but I really liked this kit!
I got the solid watercolors in these iridescent pinks and purples from Makartt's last Nail Lab box! I was super surprised by how pigmented the colors applied on my nails. I love this video! Just seeing you post is already enough to turn my whole day around 😌
It's definitely a constant struggle for me to not pick at my cuticles as well, but I keep a cuticle oil pen on me at all times for the times I get the conscious urge to pick at them and I keep a couple different small fidget things on me to help keep me from picking at them unconsciously. I have a begleri type bracelet and a chainmail mobius ball that I made myself, and they work really well to keep my hands occupied😅
Looks like they added an answer to the question "should you touch this glue" on the product page: "Do not take the glue with your hand." Hopefully that causes/caused no issues for anyone!

@@mikaelawilliams5779 I did too! To most forms of methacrylate. I have found the only gel I can use is bioseaweed gel. Haven't tried madam glams hema free yet. Try looking into those if you're interested!

Emily you totally made my day! I've been trying for a few days to get a full set using the solid Vettsy glue with awful results. After watching your video I finally know what I've been doing wrong. I've been using tiny bits of the glue instead of amounts like you did. Just did my thumb and I'm super stoked! MUUUCH BETTER results!
the solid glue is an interesting medium but as you said it would probably be better for sculpting, like the bow you did was perfect. about the modeling gel i would personally like to see a full video on it because there will probably be so much in the aliexpress video that it would just get outshined a bit. also i literally saw those watercolor paint the other day on aliexpress and was about to send it to you hahaha

Ive seen a lot of nail techs start at the cuticle with pressing it down so the glue goes down towards the tips instead going towards the cuticle... It works a lot better that way.
Love the set! Black and gold, holo, snowflakes, 3D bows... chefs kiss! 💋 I think that as an adhesive, I still feel kinda sketch about it, but as a 3D gel it seemed to work well.
A tip I noticed helped with picking at my cuticles I'd always having a cuticle nipper handy. I have eczema and tend to create thick calluses around my nails and ad a result, bad hang nails. I used to chew them to hell but I found having a cuticle nipper around to cut it safely helped a lot. Also buffing with the e file really prevents breaking through healthy skin. I try to do cuticle care once a week even if I don't wear nails and use jojoba oil a lot. Also I love you videos 🥰 couldn't comment without mentioning
Born pretty has the same stuff and it works amazing for full cover tips and using just a little bit for regular tips ! I love it and hope they come out with nail bed colors 🤩💗

i got the same mystery boxes in December and got the nail gel as an extra. i prepped my nails, did the base gel, cured and added that nail gel and put the nails on. baked them and there was no air bubbles, no separation, no negative space...my nails popped in literally in two minutes

I made my daughter a ring with that stuff. I also used it for making nail charms on my nails. It can be painted after it’s cured and after a while it turns rock hard. It’s great stuff

Hey so I am terrible for picking, I found moving any nail tools/ sharp objects or tweezers out of reach really helped. I found i was just picking with tweezers without even noticing. I also wear a fiddle ring because I would sit in traffic picking lots. I also have cuticle oil pens everywhere so whenever I go to pick i put oil on instead. Hope this is helpful xxxx

Do you think the solid nail glue would play well with builder gel? I’m like dying to know if u could use builder on the top 3rd, by the cuticle, and use the solid glue for the bottom 2/3 of the nail. So far yours is the only Vettsy review I’ve seen, but it may be time to order some glue and mud gel and play around, those boxes are so cute!!
Oh man. I did a live in the double dip Facebook group using this watercolor kit from Vettsy. It’s really fun to paint and the shimmers are great for an icey background to do snowflakes over. I’m an ambassador for them after getting a couple orders of the pudding gel paints etc. I really want the solid gel but I think it’s just poly gel IMO. BUT watching to find out lol

I use vitamin e oil now and again on and around my nails and cuticles. I pick my skin alot when I'm anxious (self sooth) and when my skins super dry. This is a great distraction technique too. use your favourite cream or moisturizer :)
I love using watercolors on my nailart, you can basically use any type from the craft store. Just make sure you topcoat it before you wash you hands xD. I love it especially for specled designs and flowers

A little goes a long way use it like poly gel even though you can touch it, spread it first in the tip, then cure it. I have the enailcouture ones and am soon getting the born pretty one to compare but I do love my enailcouture stuff

Hoping to get your opinion on which extend gel/ gel glue for gel full cover tips you recommend. I used the beetles and it worked fine for about 2 months, idk if it’s not working now bc it’s older or bc I left it in my car for a couple days. I notice you use the apres often and am willing to get it if you think it works the best. I am currently using the modelones dehydrator, primer and base coat. My nails are not lasting more than a couple days now
The nails are amazing! I’m going to do a Matt black and red glitter Christmas themed nail this week! I need to do my unboxing first though lol. Hey so I am terrible for picking, I found moving any nail tools/ sharp objects or tweezers out of reach really helped. I found i was just picking with tweezers without even noticing. I also wear a fiddle ring because I would sit in traffic picking lots. I also have cuticle oil pens everywhere so whenever I go to pick i put oil on instead. Hope this is helpful xxxx

Did your cuticles react to this second time too? Definitely a cool idea, wearing gloves isn't that big a deal to be able to use it.
Do you think the solid nail glue would play well with builder gel? I’m like dying to know if u could use builder on the top 3rd, by the cuticle, and use the solid glue for the bottom 2/3 of the nail. So far yours is the only Vettsy review I’ve seen, but it may be time to order some glue and mud gel and play around, those boxes are so cute!!

Oh man. I did a live in the double dip Facebook group using this watercolor kit from Vettsy. It’s really fun to paint and the shimmers are great for an icey background to do snowflakes over. I’m an ambassador for them after getting a couple orders of the pudding gel paints etc. I really want the solid gel but I think it’s just poly gel IMO. BUT watching to find out lol

My dream product. If you want a black snowflake ❄️ just color over the gold one with a black sharpie. When you pull it up it will be black.
I use vitamin e oil now and again on and around my nails and cuticles. I pick my skin alot when I'm anxious (self sooth) and when my skins super dry. This is a great distraction technique too. use your favourite cream or moisturizer :)
I love using watercolors on my nailart, you can basically use any type from the craft store. Just make sure you topcoat it before you wash you hands xD. I love it especially for specled designs and flowers
I love this nail gel glue actually!!. I haven't used it but just from hearing what you said and watching I think it would be perfect for me. I'm really rough handed😞 no Matt how hard I try and as a result my nails don't last long even professionally done. So I need something strong like this in my nail life. Thank you for testing it out. A little goes a long way use it like poly gel even though you can touch it, spread it first in the tip, then cure it. I have the enailcouture ones and am soon getting the born pretty one to compare but I do love my enailcouture stuff

Hoping to get your opinion on which extend gel/ gel glue for gel full cover tips you recommend. I used the beetles and it worked fine for about 2 months, idk if it’s not working now bc it’s older or bc I left it in my car for a couple days. I notice you use the apres often and am willing to get it if you think it works the best. I am currently using the modelones dehydrator, primer and base coat. My nails are not lasting more than a couple days now

The nails are amazing! I’m going to do a Matt black and red glitter Christmas themed nail this week! I need to do my unboxing first though lol. All the stuff came yesterday, but I’ve not been feeling to well, and my anxiety is terrible at the moment. I’m loving how flush to the cuticle the nails look without the bulk.
