When we were at the main park station, rangers were busy trying to rescue some climbers who got stuck. I think a couple didn't make it. Remember: "The mountain doesn't care." For anyone traveling in Washington State, very worthwhile stopping at Mt St Helens NP. You will see the power of the mountain, which is growing a cone again. Its story isn't over.
