Very well done video, Brett! Smart and sturdy design... much better than store bought! Love the family participation too! Awesome final product as always! God Bless you all! ~Lynne

Vinícius Trevisan I used regular exterior latex paint because that is what I had. You could make it any color combination you like with the paint that you may already have. Thanks for watching and commenting! Brett
Thank you Mike! It's hard to keep them away! They especially love to paint. Now they really love to play ping pong and it's easier to keep the ball on the table! ha ha Brett
+Noah Locastro No, it shouldn't matter. I did it to make the pieces easier to handle and to store. You could leave it in one piece if you like but the smaller pieces make it nice for one person to set up and take down.
Thank you Robbie! Ha ha, I actually thought about letting them paint the lines but I was in a hurry at that point and just wanted to move on in the day so I did it myself instead of "organizing" the "crew". Brett
Yes, it's a standard sheet of MDF that measures 4'X8'. I know it's not a standard size for a table tennis table. We don't mind. Thanks for watching! Cheers, Brett
GreenArrows0705 thank u sir for the reply.. .. What is ur opinion about using laminated MDF. We can save the painting job right ?? Will it affect the bounce?
Honestly, I have no idea! That is getting more technical than have thought about. This was for the kids to have some fun playing on. It's far from being a "real" ping pong table. We played a lot of ping pong this past summer and it has worked well for our needs but compared to a table made by a table tennis mfr. I have no idea how it stacks up. We keep ours out of the weather (under a carport) and we put it away in the wet months since we don't get out outside to play on it. If you plan on keeping it indoors, you could skip the paint job but it's nice to have the solid color and lines for better visibility of the ball in play.
Thank you! It maybe took 3-4 hours total time to make it. If I remember correctly, we cut and painted the base coat the first afternoon and then painted the stripes the next morning. We played on it a lot this summer! Cheers, Brett
I think you missed the point . It is all about sharing and team work. Maybe, he doesn't know anything about table tennis technique , but he looks very good at parenting to me. Cheers !
Man this is so cool, you can store it, put it when needed and the best of all is the whole family participated in making it!!!
Great Job! We were looking for ideas to build something similar. We Loved seeing your kids help make it!
Have Fun!!

Very good call recruiting the kids for the paint, lol 😎 😎 👍
5ft x 9ft table = 5ft x 4ft + 1ft x 3ft + 1ft x 3ft + 5ft x 4ft (thickness 3/4in particle boards)
6ft x 0.5ft height microfiber net. 1ft x 3ft + 1ft x 3ft become 1ft x 6ft which is the base of the net.
30.25in legs' height + 0.75 in board thickness = 31in table height
Table legs constructed as the top view below:
--/--------\--
--\--------/--
2in x 4in x 8ft long lumber wood 2 pieces
/ and \ are 4 pieces of 2 ft x 30.25 in (cut from 2 ft x 4 ft particle board)
48 - 30.25 = 17.75in. 24in x 2ft can used cut wood joint with those legs to stand up

1/4 in. x 3 ft. x 5 ft. cement board (under $10.00 each) can be used to build outdoor ping pong table.

Thank you! The kids love it already. We were playing "mini" pong for a bit before we came up with this.

What kind of ink did you use to paint the table and the white marks?
Vinícius Trevisan I used regular exterior latex paint because that is what I had. You could make it any color combination you like with the paint that you may already have. Thanks for watching and commenting!

GreenArrows0705 Thank you for replying! You did a great job!

Brett
Thank you Lynne! Hope all is well on the right side of the country!
Brett
This is satisfying
Will it matter if I do not cut it in half
+Noah Locastro No, it shouldn't matter. I did it to make the pieces easier to handle and to store. You could leave it in one piece if you like but the smaller pieces make it nice for one person to set up and take down.
well done¡¡¡¡¡
What kind of wood did you use?
MDF=medium density fiberboard. 4'x8' sheet.
Brett
Thank you Robbie! Ha ha, I actually thought about letting them paint the lines but I was in a hurry at that point and just wanted to move on in the day so I did it myself instead of "organizing" the "crew".
Brett
Can I ask cut what sheets? What size sheets?
C'est beau bravo

Yes, it's a standard sheet of MDF that measures 4'X8'. I know it's not a standard size for a table tennis table. We don't mind. Thanks for watching!

+jibinjacob89 The table is 2.74 m (9.0 ft) long, 1.525 m (5.0 ft) wide, and 76 cm (2.5 ft) high
why latex paint and not enamel?
Bravo :)
next step: learning how to play
bravo, ma per la verniciatura bastava dipingere solo la parte che rimane a vista.
Now you can play illegal underground table tennis, or as they say in China, Ping Pong.
👍👍👍👍
What are the dimensions
