You should make an insulated shed for your water heater under the house or just get a tankless propane one so u can have all that space in the bathroom. Worth the extra money
Just dont wash clothes and take a shower at the same time haha but then you would have a baller laundry setup and could make a built in hamper . Just a thought love what you guys are doing tho keep up the good work.
Progress is good! You'll be so happy that you did this! I'd swap the washer/dryer with the water heater to give yourself the appearance of more space. It also frees up some wall space on the backside of your new wall so you can have a corner cabinet/shelf design.
Have you ever thought about building a little room off the exterior putting a door where the water heater is and making a separate laundry room for the washer/dryer and water heater?
BTW your duck looking at his reflection in the chrome bumper and wondering where the duck goes when he gets to the end is hilarious. It may be too late but wouldn't you want to update the electrical before you spray foam again? Also, you may want to look into a MagVent for your dryer vent as it gets rid of the droopy vent pipe that collects lint and could cause a fire. Safety first. 😊
Try turning the washer/dryer to your entrance wall. It might not stick out as much and find a new place for your hot water tank near by outside with insolated box.
A bathroom aways needs an outlet for those electric personal appliances. For example the blow dryer, flat iron, curling iron, electric razor, electric toothbrush etc.
I admire how you guys do things right. That was a lot of work you did to just take it down but you’re making it right. Good job. Nitro seems to be doing well and that warms my heart. Love the duck seeing himself in the reflection of the bumper. Great video guys.
Have you thought about a retractable 'folding table' in the wall you're going to build next to the washer and dryer? Similar concept to a pocket door. You 2 are doing an incredible job. Fun to watch your progress.
Great progress. Check out the one piece washer/dryer. I hear they have very small load capacities and very long cycle times to wash and dry, like hours.
build a deck and than a room on the deck to make it a laundry room , see country road cure they did that and worked out well for them, Could work for you as well
Admirable job! I so appreciate that you have been taking the drywall down carefully in order to reuse it. I hate waste and it worked out well in the living room and kitchen.
Exciting project to get finished. Can't wait to see the end result. So many things in our reno we have been modified because we found a better way to do it or our needs changed. It's normal 😊
I'd be keeping the separate washer/dryer as the majority of feedback I read (&my niece) suggested the dry takes longer. Have you thought of switching the placement of the washer with the water heater? It would make the area look larger and still allow for shelving and storage. Love the pets at the end, the duck trying to find the rest of the other duck 😅😅. Have a great week.
You guys are very hard working and fearless. I admire your tenacity and work ethic. In the end it is worth all the effort. Summer, I always enjoy the random scenes you include at the beginning and spring is showing all around. Cody, nice Summit shirt. Have a great week you two. Larry, Central Valley, Ca.
This was an awesome video and loved the minimalist portion. I guess it’s definitely a comfort shock to go from large house to the built efficient home. Look forward to how it all turns out.
You guys have really done a ton of improvements to the place and have really taught us alot about container living.Hey Cody when will we see some shop projects?
Its not Summers fault she wants the cool mirror. I blame Jim and Lydia. I know this because I have one on order as well for our next building. I actually have ordered quite a few things they have done. Its fun watching the different ideas between you, them, and Ted and Jenna and some shared ones. Cool collaboration.
How about moving the water heater under the house or build a small box on the outside of your bathroom. You are good at insulating so with a little research and planning that could work. It will free up a lot of space.
It fascinates me to see electric sockets in American bathrooms. That is not allowed here in the UK, unless they are at least 9 feet away from the bath or shower. Love what you are doing
the bathroom is going to look really nice like the wall idea between the sink and stackable & the built in cabinet(or opened shelving) is going to be a great asset too 💖 but I know whatever color scheme you come up with is going to look fantastic have a nice day y'all
Cody, have you thought about doing a small bumpout in the back to hold the laundry room and hot water heater? Editing here, Everybody having the same idea. You guys are doing great, you definitely have more energy than me.
I would suggest you don't get and all-in-one washer/dryer. If you don't take the wet clothes out and shake them. Before you start the dryer cycle. They will dry in a lump and all wrinkled. Better with what you have. Trust me. Also they have alot of problems with them breaking down.
Good morning, Summer, and Cody, Great to see you all again. I know that your happy to be completing your bathroom, and laundry room finished.I'm so happy for you.Sending my love and God's blessings to you both .Keep on Smiling, Keep the Faith. Wanda In Bartlesville, Ok.
And I saw a recent video of a brand new one spewing water through the control panel while washing. I’d wait a few more versions for them to work out the kinks. Way too expensive to be so prone to issues.
Not to mention the price tag! We bought our stackable washer and dryer brand new so if we do get an "all in one" it will be years away, hopefully they'll get it figured out by then.
Why not just change the location of the water heater and the washer dryer, that will free up a ton of space and you can do shelving right over it, opening up the space? just a thought
I would go with a cupboard at the bottom over the heater as you will have somewhere to fold clothes unless you just take them out & do it in the bedroom....!!! I'm hoping to move into a static caravan but the amount of stuff I have scares me trying to fit it all in!!! Lol
Why not move laundry to another container altogether now that you're remodeling the bathroom anyway. It would be a lot of extra work but would make the bathroom a dream and laundry would not take up space in the home itself.
We do plan on adding on but we want to add bedrooms on. Laundry isn’t a huge priority to be have definitely talked about later on down the line extending the space a bit!
how come you guys didn't go with a on demand water heater to save on space I have one that's run on propane and it only uses enough power to ignite the propane

We have though about it, it just take a TON of power. It would definitely free up space tho!
The propane one doesn’t use a bunch of power and u already had propane in there for your dryer . Win win
Just dont wash clothes and take a shower at the same time haha but then you would have a baller laundry setup and could make a built in hamper . Just a thought love what you guys are doing tho keep up the good work.

So true
We have kinda thought about but unfortunately we can’t just because of how we hooked up the plumbing!
Have you ever thought about building a little room off the exterior putting a door where the water heater is and making a separate laundry room for the washer/dryer and water heater?
We’ve talked about adding on but I don’t think it’s in the cards right now unfortunately
BTW your duck looking at his reflection in the chrome bumper and wondering where the duck goes when he gets to the end is hilarious.

Also, you may want to look into a MagVent for your dryer vent as it gets rid of the droopy vent pipe that collects lint and could cause a fire. Safety first.
😊
I would build on the back. A little room for the washer and dryer. Also the water heater and anything else..
considering how much space the washing machine takes up, I would have switched places on it and the water heater, for a more airy feeling
I saw you McGivering it with the butter knife for a screwdriver. Done that myself.
Worked pretty well!
Try turning the washer/dryer to your entrance wall. It might not stick out as much and find a new place for your hot water tank near by outside with insolated box.
Consider an on demand water heater. The size of a medium box. Works great here in Ecuador.
We considered this but a tank style heater is better for solar, tankless pull LOTS of power when in use.
A bathroom aways needs an outlet for those electric personal appliances. For example the blow dryer, flat iron, curling iron, electric razor, electric toothbrush etc.
Se you using the butter knife as screwdriver thinking only us Hispanic do that nice 👍
The all-in units take a long time to run. We looked into them. Also, was told could not handle heavy loads like bedding
I admire how you guys do things right. That was a lot of work you did to just take it down but you’re making it right. Good job.
Nitro seems to be doing well and that warms my heart. Love the duck seeing himself in the reflection of the bumper. Great video guys.
Thanks Gayle. We think it will be worth it in the long run!

Great progress. Check out the one piece washer/dryer. I hear they have very small load capacities and very long cycle times to wash and dry, like hours.
I'd keep your stackable washer dryer those combo units take ages to dry the clothes. Might use to much power. Love watching your videos.
build a deck and than a room on the deck to make it a laundry room , see country road cure they did that and worked out well for them, Could work for you as well
Admirable job! I so appreciate that you have been taking the drywall down carefully in order to reuse it. I hate waste and it worked out well in the living room and kitchen.
We want to salvage as much as we can! We agree!
Exciting project to get finished. Can't wait to see the end result. So many things in our reno we have been modified because we found a better way to do it or our needs changed. It's normal 😊
Keep in mind the 2 in 1 units wash half as fast and weigh AN EXTREME amount. They are great. But they are heavy!!
Good point!
Looking forward to watching this project take shape. I just know it's going to look beautiful when you're all done ❤.
Wonderful job guys so far!!! Such tedious work but soooo worth it in the end!!!!
My sister-in-law got one of the all in one washer/dryer and she hates it… just saying. You guys are killing it!
I agree with your sister.
You’ll want to avoid “4-corners” when drywall goes back up. There at you water hookup you have 4-corners intersecting. This leads to cracks always.
I'd be keeping the separate washer/dryer as the majority of feedback I read (&my niece) suggested the dry takes longer. Have you thought of switching the placement of the washer with the water heater? It would make the area look larger and still allow for shelving and storage. Great job 😊 could you build a room on for a laundry 😊 another great video can’t wait to see it finished ❤
Y’all’s commitment to getting your house right is impressive. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Nitro looks good. Happy to see him more like himself again
Both of you work beautifully building and narrating the container house.
You guys have really done a ton of improvements to the place and have really taught us alot about container living.Hey Cody when will we see some shop projects?
Hoping to start on the shop foundation in the summer or fall!
Glad to see you guy's are doing well and getting the bathroom finished.
We’re excited John!
You kids wear me out sometimes. Yes, you have Lydia! I see no problem with designing. Thanks for the update. Can't wait for the next one.
Thanks Charles! We definitely are grateful for Lydia and Jenna! They are so skilled with interior design!
You should see about putting in a tank less water heater, more efficient and takes up a lot less space.
Its not Summers fault she wants the cool mirror. I blame Jim and Lydia. I know this because I have one on order as well for our next building. Great job. So much work but results will be so much better
Another great video! Can’t wait to see it complete! Love y’all!
Thanks mama♥️

Love and prayers to Kenjie. (Hope I spelled his name right.) You guys are simply the best.
Thanks for being here Barbara!
Another great video. Excited to see your bathroom completed what about a tankless water heater for more room?
Thanks Lisa! We have looked into it but it wouldn’t really be worth how much power they use!
the bathroom is going to look really nice like the wall idea between the sink and stackable & the built in cabinet(or opened shelving) is going to be a great asset too 💖 but I know whatever color scheme you come up with is going to look fantastic have a nice day y'all
That's a job and itself, but Cody, you the man that can make it happen!! Keep up the hard work 💪
Can’t wait to see the new bathroom project!!! keep up the good work!
I have a question, if you put fiberglass insulation over the spray foam why is it necessary to respray foam?
So much work, but it will be worth it down the road.
Great work guys
Thanks Mathew!
What size water heater do you have? Will be upgrading our cabin soon and adding hot water.
Awsome job you guys. 👏 Never disappointed 😊 🎉
Thanks James!
Cody, have you thought about doing a small bumpout in the back to hold the laundry room and hot water heater? Editing here, Everybody having the same idea. You guys are doing great, you definitely have more energy than me.
I would remove the TV out of the bathroom too.
What a great job. What is your magnet thing you use for finding screws
I would suggest you don't get and all-in-one washer/dryer. If you don't take the wet clothes out and shake them. Before you start the dryer cycle. They will dry in a lump and all wrinkled. Better with what you have. Trust me. Also they have alot of problems with them breaking down.

We are so excited to be completing this project finally!! Thanks for your kindness!
Everyone I know who has a combo washer and dryer hates it. They take forever to dry your clothes and it takes twice as long to do the wash.

Good morning 🌞 Big job, but will look nice when done👌 like the shower curtain 😉
Good morning Karen! We’re are so excited to finally get this project going!
Great job 👏
It's time to put a mirror in the duck house!
That would be funny!
Awesome guys ❤
Thank you!
Can you swap to smaller washer and dryer, or combined in one, so you have more space in laundry area
Wrote that before you said, can you splash out on one as will save you re: doing whole area again
Enjoyed watching, you two are busy as a bee, keep up the good work 🪻💜🇺🇸
Thanks Doris!
OMG! GOOD LUCK!
I always wondered where socks would go to hide from us...
That’s what I was thinking!
Nice one!
Thanks!
I would go with a cupboard at the bottom over the heater as you will have somewhere to fold clothes unless you just take them out & do it in the bedroom....!!! I'm hoping to move into a static caravan but the amount of stuff I have scares me trying to fit it all in!!! Lol
For sure! I definitely want to have a designated space for laundry! And yes condensing down stuff is so overwhelming 😭
following from Brazil 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Loved the duck looking at himself.
So excited for this 😊
Thank you Debbie!!
Oh my gosh, the reflection!! 🤣😂🤣 That was great! 🛻🦆
They are hilarious!
I think it will look so good 👍Hi from Colorado Springs 😀
Thanks Patricia! Hope you are doing well on this beautiful Saturday!
You guys need to install an outlet by the toilet and get yourself a nice bidet! It changed my life 😂
One of our friends was suggesting that as well🤣
Come on Summer, a butter knife, really. I am sure you can find a screwdriver somewhere.
Awesome job
This needed to happen 😊
Nice video, have a good week 😊.
Wow!!! I hate doing any job twice. Waste of time and money. Best of luck.
Having to destruct your bathroom is redickulas. I'd put insulation and siding on the exterior.
Hey guys, any chance you could move your water heater under the container? In a covered insulated box? Just my 2 cents worth...
Thank you for sharing bits of your life with us!
Thanks for watching Kathy!
I don’t know anything about them, but would an electric On-Demand water heater be an option?
Thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching!
Summer, the most beautiful looking female on the internet by far, ❤,
I enjoy your videos I look forward to them !!!!
Question ,, on your pocket doors, were they solid or hollow core ???
Hollow!
Congrats on almost 60 thousand subs.
Thank you!! We appreciate it!
Have you ever thought of putting a utility room on the back porch 🤔
We have thrown a couple ideas around! We definitely want to add on eventually!
I know you guys have tons of screwdrivers laying around so April chose to use a butter knife instead. lol
Actually I couldn’t find one and didn’t want to go up the hill. Butter knife is eat to locate tho.
I agree with jlucy a tankless water heater will be perfect
It definitely would be nice it just pulls a TON of power!
Dont get an electric one get a propane tankless water heater way better than electric
and the cat?
Oh, Summer, a butter knife? Really kid? 😊
It was easier than tracking down a screw driver 🤣
❤
👏👏👏💪
looking good. you guys amaze me.
You are so kind!
❤❤bon courage biz à vous deux
