Holy hell. Now this really puts into perspective how much work goes in a game like this. Enough that my tiny inexperienced amateur brain can't even process.

I know they worked in layers to get this animation depth effect, do you happen to know how many layers were used? I thought it would only be 3-4 but it looks like there are more. This Is so lovely so great to see how it was made!

Hey, thanks! The layers aren't really countable :) Of course you get foreground, midground and background, but inbetween and beyond there are many many pieces creating sub-layers.

Do you know if there is any set dressing tutorial videos you can recommend? im working in aa personal indie metroidvania project, but haven't found stuff about how to properly do this, myself being an artist and new to unity! thanks!!! you work is inspiring!

So it seems to be made as a 3D project, with different layers existing on the Z axis? Also interesting that it is little bits here and there that are made and then placed into the scene... I suppose that is beneficial as you can use them again in another screen. I heard with the original each thing was hand drawn, so I assume the latter makes it much faster to produce. I'm just learning how to use unity, but THIS is the goal; it's absolutely beautiful. I don't know if I will ever get to that point, but this is exactly the sort of goal I want to push towards. By the way, if ANYONE has any more behind the scenes footage of how this is made it would be super helpful. It's much easier to see someone do something like this and then try to emulate.

진짜 만드느라 고생하셨고 이 게임은 제가 했었던 게임들 중에 1등이라고 해도 과언이 아닙니다. 정말 이 게임을 만들어주셔서 감사드립니다.
